I agree,I liked the forums alot better before this,I like the whole site better before the integration.It was easier to navigate and didn't have stupid adds for free zen everywhere.Also Im tired of being called an Archived post instead of my screen name,I don't like being so "generic".
The funny thing is, they brought the SAME PROBLEMS that occured with the STO site integration, to the CO site. Archived Posts, lack of custom avatars, lack of custom signatures, broken Dev Tracker etc.

"Lack of custom signatures"? I had my custom signature within ten minutes of logging in after the "update", and it would have been less if I'd realized at first that I couldn't use BBCode in the sig (the response if you try is to simply refuse to display the sig at all...).
And there's a thread up there about custom avatars. I'm currently working on my own - I don't have the editing software I need on this particular system yet, but I'm working on it!
So, yeah, I liked things the way they were, but I'm mildly autistic, so my aversion to change is kind of hardwired. One must deal with the reality that confronts one, sadly...

Lack of signatures with BBCode enabled. Can't style your signature, can't add links in your signature. What you can do, is add plain text, and a single signature image which you must upload first.
EDIT: Seems they fixed that issue since I first posted on this thread. Nevermind then.

I can't believe they implemented a whole new forum structure without doing an art/design pass on it. This whole new thing looks awful. Half the buttons aren't even aligned with each other.
God I hope they plan on revisiting this, because it is not professional quality. It bleeds over to the main site too. I might not have agreed with a lot of the design of the website / forums before but at least they were consistent and looked like some thought / care went in to making them.
I think what really annoys me is that, there had to be an obvious cut-off date from PWE where Cryptic needed to implement this new structure by date X. Assuming there was some advanced notice, I'm really perplexed why no one was assigned to make the new forums look good before launching them.

That's because they didn't design this. This looks like a generic forum applet they downloaded that they added their colors and pictures too, but the buttons are generic default ones.
