Winter Event
  • Added a fx marker for the winter open mission to help see where the location is.
  • Added a countdown timer on the open mission once completed.
  • Reduced cooldown to 30 minutes.
  • Added Bitter Storm power variant device as a potential drop from Clarence.



Powers
Avalanche
Increased chance to Knock and Apply Chill per rank.


Chill
  • Fixed an issue where this effect did not always reapply properly when at 3 stacks.


Icicle Spear
  • Increased chance to apply Chill per rank.


Brimstone
  • Fixed an issue where some of the fx did not hue shift properly.


Ice Burst
  • Cold Drift Advantage: Additionally adds a small chance to refresh Hard Frost while active.



Power Variant Devices
Bitter Storm
  • Scales off of Brimstone
  • Maintain. Deals Cold damage in a 15ft pbaoe.
  • Chance to apply Chill. Chance icnreases if affected by Cold Snap.
  • Chilled Targets are immediately affected by an Ice Cage.


Callous Cleave
  • Fixed an issue where the cone radius was incorrect for each hit.

    Kaiserin, could you please tell us before the Event ends WHICH Perks each of the ICE PVDs will require in order to be purchased from the SCR/GCR when they will be added?

    I order to AVOID another situation like Bloodmoon, when the PVDs were added 1 week after the end only to be met with BITE perks requirements!

    Trying to farm Clarence for the PVDs is a messy nightmare compared to farming Tako

    Bitter Storm

    Scales off of Brimstone

    Chilled Targets are immediately affected by an Ice Cage.
    PVD that turns the base power from Charged to Maintained, interest! It's like KAREN MORPHONTRAXS's Lighting Storm Brimstone
    That's EXACTLY what BRICK powerframes need

    So here is the problem. THE ICE PVDS BENEFIT FROM COLD SNAP but NONE OF THEM APPLY COLD SNAP!

    I'm testing it with Unstoppable as passive, and I don't want to be forced to change my block from HW's Guard to Ice Shield+Cold to the Touch ADV

    Suggestion: Update one of the ICE PVDs to apply Cold Snap on yourself when the right criteria are met

    I have to agree, it would be very nice if one of the PVDs could apply Cold Snap to self, as most who take the time to invest and build around these devices will be using melee builds so Ice Form wouldn't be the preferred passive. Perhaps a

    "If at least half way maintained, applies Cold Snap to self" could be added as a condition on Bitter Storm?

    I think Ice Form should be encouraged as the main passive to go with here, otherwise you'd just take NW or Unstoppable.

    But you can also get Cold Snap from a 1-point advantage on Ice Shield, so you can have R3 and also tap it to have it apply Cold Snap to you. This lets you be a tank and still have Cold Snap, if that's what you're worried about passives for.

    For DPS, you really should be pushed toward Ice Form, these PVDs do so much damage it wouldn't be balanced if they could use the extra tankiness from Unstoppable. (You can already use the extra tankiness from Vicious Descent's Bold Entrance advantage to get 50% of your damage to shield!!)

    I think you're forgetting that most people's base builds will be for HW with the PVDs added as flavour, not them having built directly for the Ice Form.

    The damage from these PVD's is far from being crazy. I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting the devices to accent the build and be somewhat self sufficient / working in tandem.

    Outside Ice Form and Ice Shield, What other Powers apply Cold Snap?
    • Vapor Form (Invigorating Chill)
    • Ice Sheath

    A threat whip and an AO (the later which I Never use ever again in my builds)

    Yeah. . . This is cooked

    Frozen Lance seems to be the only power to take if you want to completely avoid the whole Cold Snap min maxing fiasco and ditch Ice Breaker
