Sup

So now that the new Gadgeteering rework has come out, some of the changes to the to the specs/tals and other stuff has required me to rework some of my Character, so hence why I am revamping some, but I am also wanting to try the new powers as well in its fullest.

The first build is just a small tuneup of my Mystic build, so I can post that directly, due to something changed about the Int Specs (I think?), so here we go.

Mystic Build: As I do not know what changed about the Specs in the Int, tree I've just gone with the default what I had before, however I have swapped a few powers around. I've ditched the TW in favor for another Circle powers, as I have gotten myself the Ult Pillar of Poz Device and intend to use it (it uses all of my Circles)

I have also removed a Rank in Hex of Suffering as I only use that for it's Adv and I put Mystical on Bane, rather then R3 to upkeep it (tho this might not be needed)

Okay, for the 1st build, if playing in the Ranged dps role then you can only get CoEW from the Ult, iirc, and not CoPD. Whether you want to get CoEW for the Ult is up to you, but also keep in mind CoEW's self-healing penalty. Also, if using Mystified then you could take Concentration as the toggle/form instead, since it'll be easier to proc than Spellcaster (the main benefit to Spellcaster for dps builds is providing an Enchantment for Soul Beam's dmg automatically, but if you'll keep an Enchantment like Mystified up anyways then you don't really need that perk). For the Int PSS tree, you can just read the tooltips for the spec in-game and judge for yourself, but for dps you'll prob want to get Tactician, Preparation, Detect Vuln, and Expertise (DVuln and Expertise still being important for dps, even after the changes).

    -

For the 2nd build, the main issue is that MSA (and to a lesser extent, Tech Advancements) uses cd powers, and there are almost none in the build atm. You also lack Disorient effects for Sound Amplification. There isn't a great EU fit here atm, though I suppose LS's Unified Theory can work if you also add an AoE attack than can apply Plasma Burn (and you prob want a normal AoE attack anyways). Granted, if sticking w/ AoPM (or AoAC) then you prob can get away w/o even using an energy unlock (provided your gear is still good), so it is a bit up to you. Bionic Shielding now has a very short cd (as does Rez Serum), so for Support it can help w/ the cd-related procs (as well as help heal, ofc), though then you'd have to get used to using it pretty frequently (and also keep in mind that the Bionic Tampering debuff is still around, so that can limit its use per target).

For the toggle/form, Compassion is obv easier to proc in general when healing (for offense, you prob want a source of the Illum debuff for Mend, to help Compassion proc in the combat when not actively healing), whereas w/ Tech Advancement it's easier to proc when attacking w/ Tech powers (and easier if you have a short cd power you use often). Like w/ the EU (or lack of it), the right choice just depends on the powers (and to a degree, the advs) that you settle on, so I can't give much conclusive advise here yet.

    -

For the 3rd build, you can generally build a Gadget dps in many diff ways now, since the set is so large in of itself. It does seem like you have a bit of redundancy w/ the current powers atm (two single-target blasts + PBR, which is also single-target) and no normal AoE attack. Some of the same points I made about the 2nd build also apply here w/ regards to what the appropriate choices are (like w/ the EU and toggle/form), and again I'll need more info on what sort of powers/advs you want to stick to the most before I can help you w/ finalizing some of the choices.

Okay so based on feedback I have done the following to the builds:

For the 1st build: I have gone ahead and just ditched CoEW and just went with what I had before, without doing the Duel-Co powers, I have intend replaced it with SoRS, since I can have both at the same time and I'll just treat the Ult as it is. (No matter my role). I have also removed Mystified from Bane and kept it into PoZ as I can up-keep it that way.

As for the Specs, I'll go ahead what you suggested. (If SoRS does not work out, I'll just go back to a TW or grab a self-heal)

As for the 2nd build: I've gone ahead and put Sonic Boom Generator & Soinc Device in the build for AoE powers but also to porc Sound Ampilfiaction, I have also gone for Electro Magnet since it is a handful tool to suck mobs in and deal more Soinc Damage in a bigger AoE.

Kept in Mindful Reinforcement and I may swap the Shield for the Psioinc One to help fit the theme of Psi/Gad, but it's not really needed. The rest I have kept into place.

As for the last build: For this build I have gone ahead and fixed the redundancy/w the build (I hope lol) and went for Eye Lasers for my single-target blast and spreadding of the porcs, Experimental Burst Ray for my AoE /w the Heal Adv, Particle Smash/Electro Magnet and Conviction will help to porc Molecular Self-Assembly & Technological Poweress.

I've kept Pulse Beam Rifle as my Single Target Dmg and Radiation Poisoning to help spread the well, Radiation Poisoning.

I have also stuck with the Int Specs on both builds as you said: (DVuln and Expertise still being important for dps, even after the changes).

Note: I may swap Finite Improbabilty Engine for the Time Loop thing, where it reduces cooldown to futher help but unsure if that is needed.

Edit: So I may dtich Particle Smash since its so costly for something else, but unsure yet as of this time

I guess you mean the Radiant sigils w/ SoRS in the 1st build, which are okay if you just want a bit more background defense/healing. They aren't that strong of an effect overall for a dps, so you could also consider replacing them if you want to try out other powers too.

For the 2nd (and 3rd) build, I'd prob pass on the Sparks adv on Electro Magnet, since NI doesn't do anything for the build (you could use the 1 point on the 2nd travel power, or on the Cooling adv on Burst Ray in the 3rd build). I'd prob also pass on the Download adv on the Blast, and maybe just get R3 (or the Mending Protocol adv for potential self-healing proc). I may also replace the Celestial rez for Res Serum, since it's more thematic and Res Serum now has a shorter cd and an AoE adv, but that's more up to you. Overall, the 2nd build overall looks considerably better, and should be more functional now.

The 3rd build also looks a bit better, though I'd get the Disintegrate adv on Eye Lasers, if keeping them (since your main attacks use Particle dmg). Exp Burst Ray is fine as an AoE after they reworked it, though you may have to contend w/ its Overheat mechanic if you charge it often (and it needs to be fully charged if you want it to proc Tech Prowess). I'd prob also change out Particle Smash, since it's costly, has limited range, and is still considered a melee power (prob replace it w/ another cd power, to help w/ MSA and the toggle/form- and keep in mind it can be from any Tech tree- not just Gadgeteering). I'd prob also keep the FIE adv on PBR, since it's your main single-target dps attack (instead of getting the cd-reducing adv). The 3rd SS on the build could also be a different one (like Rec for more starting energy, Con for more health, or Pres for more bonus healing), if desired.

Okay so I made a small edit to the 3rd build and replaced Experimental Burst Ray with Sonic Boom Generator, since it's a bigger AoE and the Stun will be useful here, as the Cooldown stuff was a bit annyoing to deal with, even with the Adv

Yea, you can avoid the Overheat/charge mechanic on Burst Ray if you don't charge it past 1.5 sec, but then it can't proc the new toggle/forms that way (since they take a full charge, unlike Conc or Chilled Form which can work on half-charges and partial maintains). It can still be manageable even given that, but I also understand why you may just want to use something else.

I wouldn't normally get Bionic Shielding for a dps build that already has Conviction and Resurgence, but I suppose if you also want to help heal allies then it can be fine. Procing the toggle/form shouldn't be that difficult w/ the dps build, so my main concern would be that you have enough energy return from it and MSA that you won't normally have energy issues when using PBR and the AoE attack (if you still do, then you may need either better gear and/or more MSA uptime). Hope the edited builds work out for you, regardless.

Yeah, it just feels so much better to grab Soinc Boom, feels much smoother to use, so that's why I edited it, but also of the Bigger AoE and all, the stun is hella useful for low mobs too and the weapon fits in the hand better, so all win win.

Yeah, while I was thinking due to a DPS build, it's super helpful for porc-in MSA and the Download on it helps quite a bit as well and helping to heal myself in a pinch and allies its always nice to have, why I went for it.

Speaking of, I did some more editing and I had replaced Electro Magnet on the Healer build, in favour for Bionic Shielding as while it not porcs MSA (not have that) it's still useful for in a pinch HP, for tanks overall and the Download Adv as well.

Yea, BShielding is esp good for Support builds, and it'll still help proc the toggle/form (even if not the EU- not that the EU matters as much in an AoPM build). I'm not sure you'll get much use out of Mindful Reinforcement w/ it and Medical Beam around, but you can always train MR last and see how much mileage you end up getting out of it. You may not also need to worry about having Download if your energy is already good in either build, but that will depend on how smoothly the builds play in practice.
