With the Onslaught gear changes and additions making the rounds, now would be a good time to improve the quality of the grind for Onslaught. Not asking for an entire revamp of the system (as desperately as it needs it) but some quick changes and things to implement
Changes to the Onslaught system:
- Remove the Genetic Exhaustion debuff. All it really serves now-a-days is to add salt to the wound when disconnecting as a villain.
- Allow for gear and powers to be purchased with Guardian tokens.
- Buff the amount of tokens dropped from killing players, Hotspots, and doing the daily and wrapper mission.
- A bit of a tall ask but: Add more Hotspots around the MC map.
- Consider merging Guardian and Villain tokens into one currency.
Implement Onslaught drops and tokens into Teleios Ascendant (Epic):
- Add Onslaught guardian and villain tokens as possible drops from each bosses' reward box.
- Add Onslaught guardian and villain tokens to the final loot circle at the end of the lair.
- Add Onslaught guardian and villain tokens as a reward for the daily mission. This can either be in addition to the existing GCR reward, or as a choice between GCR or Onslaught tokens.
- Replace Determination gear in TA's loot table with Onslaught gear. Randomly dropped Onslaught gear should be Bind on Equip, making it tradable/sellable on the AH (like every other secondary piece of gear)
- (Determination gear drops should be moved to a new lair to keep it available. Vikorin, Rhino and/or Destroyer's Factory would be the best fits as a new home for Determination. Or, add them as rare drops in UNITY 1 & 2 to give people a reason to run them again.)
