  Flamethrower is fun, though it's AoE coverage isn't that wide, and it's not going to be as strong of a single-target attack. You could consider getting something like Fire Snake to further buff its dmg (in addition to the fire grenade), but that's up to you. If making Flamethrower a main attack, then I'd prob also get its Single-Minded adv (which doesn't seem to be in the Planner, along w/ the UA adv). You also don't really need R3 on Resurgence here. Otherwise, the build won't be ideal, but it can still function okay overall.

  Well, PBR also isn't as strong as other set's single-target attacks, though like Flamethrower you can still build around it just fine (and you can buff it somewhat w/ Chest Beam's Burn Through). The builds look pretty different, and either could work. So I guess it just comes down to which attacks you really want to use on the character, since these could also be two separate builds for two different characters.
