Is There A Way To Do A Playing Card Theme Build?

benoitseanbenoitsean Posts: 322 Arc User
I created a character that revolves around playing cards. It doesn't matter what powers or role are used for it just so long as it goes with the theme of playing cards.

Here is the character that I created to give you guys an idea.

If anyone has any idea on how to do this I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

Probably the closest you can get is the boomerang powers, mixed with shuriken powers, since the objects you throw out are so small you can pretend they're cards.

Thanks for the reply. Can you give a rough idea of what a build would look like? I'm horrible at coming up with builds.

Well, here's a build that focuses on using Ricochet Throw, since it can function in both AoE and single-target:

(Unnamed Build) - Freeform (Ranged Damage)
    v3.45:38

    Super Stats
    Level 6: Intelligence (Primary)
    Level 10: Dexterity (Secondary)
    Level 15: Constitution (Secondary)

    Talents
    Level 1: The Specialist (Dex: 10, Con: 10, Int: 8, Rec: 10)
    Level 6: Negotiator (Int: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 9: Covert Ops Training (Str: 3, Dex: 3, Con: 3, Int: 3)
    Level 12: Impresario (Dex: 5, Rec: 5)
    Level 15: Coordinated (Dex: 5, Int: 5)
Level 18: Healthy Mind (Con: 5, Int: 5)
    Level 21: Acrobat (Dex: 5, Con: 5)

    Powers
    Level 1: Boomerang Toss
Level 1: Ricochet Throw (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 6: Concentration
Level 8: Night Warrior (Rank 2, Rank 3, Silent Running)
Level 11: Sonic Device (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 14: Molecular Self-Assembly
    Level 17: Resurgence (Rank 2)
Level 20: Frag Grenade (Rank 2, Open Wound)
Level 23: Toxic Nanites (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 26: Blinding Light
Level 29: Energy Shield (Rank 2)
    Level 32: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 35: Particle Mine (Rank 2)
    Level 38:
    Adv. Points: 31/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6:
    Level 35:

    Specializations
    Intelligence: Enlightened (3/3)
    Intelligence: Tactician (2/2)
    Intelligence: Detect Vulnerability (3/3)
    Intelligence: Expertise (2/2)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (2/3)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (3/3)
    Guardian: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Guardian: Ruthless (2/2)
    Guardian: Find the Mark (3/3)
    Guardian: The Best Defense (2/3)
    Mastery: Intelligence Mastery (1/1)

The last 1-3 powers can be w/e ya want.

For AoE, you can mainly just charge RThrow, and it'll be a strong AoE opener from NW's Sneak (you can also re-stealth w/ a threat wipe like Blinding Light). For single-targets, you can also throw in Frag Grenade for some extra dmg on top of RThrow (it can't debuff for RThrow's Slashing dmg, but it's still a decent thrown dmg power). I also added Sonic Device and Toxic Nanites as extra dmg cds. Particle Mine is just for fun- like a trap card that activates when enemies get too close, or something (you could get its KB adv for some extra CC, though that can also scatter enemies). Targeting Comp would be a better passive for sustained dps here, though you'd lose NW's Sneak, so that's up to you. Gears mostly for Int, w/ some Dex and Con.
