Flashy Unarmed Dodge Tank/DPS?

Hi. So, aiming at a dual passive build and trying to make a DPS/Tank.

The idea behind it is going unarmed, having basically a spandex wearing crime fighter, and one that's good enough to dodge instead of taking it head on usually. Plus, I've not messed with Dodge mechanics and want to give it a go.

Please help? I'm honestly looking for a fun build to play with on this one.

I just spent this week working on the same thing and realized that dodging isn't very good in this game. It just reduces the damage from each hit like Invulnerability and Defiance do, so you still need a steady source of healing. I gave up and switched to Regeneration backed with Indestructible.

    https://aesica.net/co/herocreator.htm?v=38&n=&d=12370yGPK9AE095060E000E20CE803LB05EB00EC03ET03EL00ER04ES00EI13EX03ED03NL0W3UbK0tBZ3TrX20000000000&e=

But I'm not a great player, so your experience might prove otherwise! Standard Dex/Con/Rec layout with Str to boost damage. Righteous Fists gives you that nimble fighter animation, with TKicks to apply buffs and debuffs before slamming away with BCF. Inexorable Tides help clear trash while building Focus stacks for Fury of the Dragon.

For tanking, you have primary and secondary challenge on situational powers and both BCR and Ebon Void for healing. If Ebon Void doesn't match your theme, I'd recommend Retaliation from Might for a more controlled buff than Parry. As I complained, you'll need a steady source of healing, so you might find Resurgence from Bestial does more for your survivability than Masterful Dodge.

I went with Swinging and Flippin to merge your goals of fun and dodge.

I may just go w/ Con PSS, since Dex's dodge/avoid options aren't that great (and you'd give up Expose Weakness and Deadly Aim, which are the stronger bits of Dex PSS). Dodge tanks can be fine for most content, but I wouldn't recommend them as much for the high-end stuff. So it will somewhat depend on what you want to do w/ it, but here's a basic dodge tank for casual content (w/ a dual passive option):

(Unnamed Build) - Freeform (Any / Multiple)
    v3.45:38

    Super Stats
    Level 6: Constitution (Primary)
    Level 10: Dexterity (Secondary)
    Level 15: Recovery (Secondary)

    Talents
    Level 1: The Master (Str: 8, Dex: 10, Con: 10, Rec: 10)
    Level 6: Impresario (Dex: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 9: Quick Recovery (Con: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 12: Amazing Stamina (Rec: 5, End: 5)
    Level 15: Acrobat (Dex: 5, Con: 5)
    Level 18: Accurate (Dex: 5, End: 5)
Level 21: Boundless Reserves (Con: 5, End: 5)

    Powers
    Level 1: Vicious Strikes
Level 1: Thundering Kicks (Rank 2, Rank 3, Challenge!)
Level 6: Lightning Reflexes (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 8: Form of the Master
Level 11: Dragon Kick (Rank 2, Dragon Rush)
Level 14: Bountiful Chi Resurgence (Resurgent Reiki)
    Level 17: Chi Manipulation
Level 20: Burning Chi Fist (Rank 2, Rank 3, Ghostly Strikes)
    Level 23: Resurgence (Rank 2)
Level 26: Shuriken Storm (Floating Butterfly, Challenge!)
    Level 29: Parry (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 32: Way of the Warrior (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 35: Smoke Bomb Lunge
    Level 38:
    Adv. Points: 34/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6:
    Level 35:

    Specializations
    Constitution: Unyielding (1/2)
    Constitution: Fuel My Fire (2/3)
    Constitution: Resilient (2/2)
    Constitution: Deflection (3/3)
    Constitution: Adrenaline Rush (2/2)
    Warden: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Warden: Ruthless (2/2)
    Warden: Elusive (2/2)
    Warden: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (2/3)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (3/3)
    Mastery: Constitution Mastery (1/1)

The last 1-2 powers can be w/e.

For single-targets, you can lean more into TKicks when tanking for its dodge buff, and use BCF for when you want more dmg in general (and charged DK can give you Rush for extra energy when using BCF). Shuriken Storm can be used to quickly tag scattered mobs as a tank, while you'll prob want to prefer charged DK and/or TKicks for AoE when mobs are close-up. Gears mostly for Con, w/ some Dex and Rec (and some cost discount on gear). If you want, you can also use a separate set of gear for the dps role/passive that focuses more on Dex than on Con.

@flowcyto Thanks! Awesome build! Might do Open Palm Strike instead of Shuriken Storm. Maybe Energy Wave? Unsure on that one. The gathering up is what I can see is needed right there.

Otherwise, love it and will see about giving it a test drive!

Alright. Well, imo OPS is too small of an AoE to replace Shuriken Storm. EWave can be okay if you take its Rev Polarity adv to pull mobs into you (DB's Sword Cyclone w/ the Blender adv is another option). I may just keep Shuriken Storm for the quick, large AoE Challenge tag (doesn't have to be a main AoE), but ultimately it's up to you.

Sword Cyclone w/ Blender plus imaginary weapons. I like that idea better.

Only wish was that we had something better than Wardicator, but I understand it's current top tier. I'll go with it 'til we get something else as equally insane hopefully one of these days.

I actually think Sword Cyclone could be what I was looking for to make Thundering Kick's Floating Lotus Blossom into something crazy, too.

Yea, that edit could work fine, and keep in mid that BCR can also proc the toggle/form and EU here (since the wider AoE options can't). Taking a R1 Ult w/o Overpower or a threat adv is kinda iffy, but you can always experiment w/ that last slot as well.

Protector and Sentry specs are also decent options for tanks, but Wardicator is ofc good for its versatility (since this is also a dual passive build).
