Build Checking

Sup

So got two builds (One in leveling phase, so subject to change) and another that is Level 40 but just needs a check down.

Level 40 Build: (Still in PH, so not committed)

So this is my Dual Pistols Build, I was going for a build that stuck with Two-Gun Mojo & Lead Tempest, but Bullet Hail seems to work fine as it is with the build I have.

Bullet Hail for my AoE and Mob clearing tool /w Shield to keep me protected while doing so, while my TGM is my Single Target DPS. Con Grande for the Stun & Holdout shot for the Heal & Armor Debuff (it's not in the herocreator yet, why it says bleed).

As for Passive, EU and Form: Gone for TC for my Passive and Sharp Shooter for my Form for focus on "Furious" and Endo Rush w/ Resruge as I find both a decent Heal with Furious being stacked.

(Specs and such should be fine?)

Building Phase Build:

The role/theme for this build is aimed at useing EoTS as my main form of attack/w it's shield. The combo is for the debuffs only and went for "Firey Blade" as Bleed won't have a factor in this build, being Dual Blades.

Dragon Kick /w adv for the discount in cost and BCF for the Single Target Damage & Pull. (Tho I can go for R3 for outright DPS). Last 2 powers are still up to debate as this is a build in the works, that I test LIVE (rather then shooting them to level 40)

Passive/Specs and all that should be correct for a Dual Blade build

For the first build, I may just use Chilled Form as the toggle/form, since it can also proc off of the Ult (and any ranged attack used at >25ft). The build otherwise looks okay for Pistol Muni, and if you wanted a free power slot for w/e then you could drop the R1 AO for it (unless you also wanted to keep the AO for the extra breakfree).

For the 2nd build, the main issue w/ it atm is that it lacks a toggle/form. I assume that you wanted FotTempest? Also, Shredded from the SB combo won't boost the Crushing dmg on BCF or Dragon Kick, unless you mean to instead make Dragon's Wrath your main single-target attack? (you'd have to pick DW up then) If taking DW, then you can also drop R2 from BCF and just use it for the AoE pull-in. I may also get Dragon Kick to R2 (since you're using it for Rush anyways, and it can be decent as a higher-dps AoE alternative to EotS that also has an AoE stun), and I'd also prob rank up the block enhancer a bit. Here's an example edit of it:

I may end up getting Chilled Form in that case then yes, thxs!

As for the 2nd build: Yes I forgot to put in FotT in the build, but as the build is only level 16, I'll put it in the next rank up as for Shredded from the SB combo, I'd only had that put in there to help out with EoTS as that was my main attack, but if I'm gonna go for Dragon's Wrath the main single-target attack, then I'll ditch BCF as I don't see the need for two STAs even if the one is used for a Pull.

I'd assume I'd get more out of DW then BCF, regardless if they are R3 or not, right?

The gun build needs an Piercing debuff like Frag Grenade with advor Burst Shot.

Eh, he can also do okay w/ having one Piercing debuff for the Muni build (Frail Armor on Holdout Shot), but yeah he could also add a source of the AP debuff in there, if desired.

BCF, when optimized, prob still beats out DW now usually, but I assume that this is meant to be more of a DB/SB-based build than an Unarmed one, and you already have a Slashing debuff in the build (and not a Crushing debuff for BCF).

So I've edited the build a bit after doing some testing:

I've switched the Passive to Composure as it gives me more Protection then TC does. I've also ditched Bullet Hail and just stuck with TGM & Lead Tempest Combo. (TGM for Single Target & Lead Tempest for AoE around me)

I've removed the Stun Frag for the AP Frag to get more of the debuff going on top of the debuff in Holdout shot. I've still kept in my Threat Wipe & removed my AO for a Self-Rez. (Tho I may go back to Lock n Load, depending whats better)

    The rest did not change.

I may still pick Chilled Form over Sharpshooter here as the toggle/form (and then you aren't tied to procing Furious for it), but otherwise the edited build looks okay overall.

Do you find yourself drawing so much aggro that you really need a threat wipe? You might put that near the end of your build and if you find you don't use it that often replace it with the Stun Grenade with the stun adv. Personally, I find stuns way more useful than threat wipes. Not convinced that Composure will be superior to Targeting Computer. The bonus to dodge/avoidance is pretty small. I tend to like powers that allow me to do more damage than RNG based defensive bonuses. Again, maybe put composure near the end of the build so you can swap it for TC if that seems the better option.

Ah yes, I forgot about that in the build I did swap to Chilled Form to get more out of then Sharpshooter, thanks for the reminder!

I always tend to nab a TW just for them "Oh Shi" moments but by time that happens I'll prop be dead by then xD, but I might just grab the stun as it was useful.

DPS wise, yeah I can see how it'll be superior to TC but I did get Composure for the Konckback & defensive bonuses, but I can see how if I wanted to go for raw DPS I'd had gone for TC, but I do want a healthy mix of both. So for atleast this build I'll stick to Composure even if it does shave off some good Cirt DPS.

Edit; I've edited the build to have Chilled Form and since I am useing that I put R3 in Lead Tempest
