Yes, just scroll down in this part of the forum a few lines and you will see a discussion on this very topic.

Well, Fractal Aegis is an Ice power (it's nice to have for the threat adv, but not required either; also, you could potentially re-color it anyways), but the build that Superalfgorn posted is a Tank build that uses mostly Fire stuff. This doesn't count some of the basic foundational powers, like the toggle/form (ex. Chilled Form) or the slotted passive (ex. Invuln), since they often don't impact the theme much and are usually taken for their sizable & relevant buffs instead (same thing for stuff like Talents- you take them for their stats; their names don't really matter).

Here's how I may alter that build a bit, though:

    Fire Tank - Freeform (Tank)
    v3.45:38

    Super Stats
    Level 6: Constitution (Primary)
    Level 10: Recovery (Secondary)
    Level 15: Dexterity (Secondary)

    Talents
    Level 1: The Chiller (Dex: 10, Con: 10, Rec: 8, End: 10)
    Level 6: Acrobat (Dex: 5, Con: 5)
    Level 9: Accurate (Dex: 5, End: 5)
Level 12: Boundless Reserves (Con: 5, End: 5)
Level 15: Quick Recovery (Con: 5, Rec: 5)
    Level 18: Impresario (Dex: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 21: Amazing Stamina (Rec: 5, End: 5)

    Powers
    Level 1: Throw Fire
Level 1: Fire Shield (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 6: Fiery Will
Level 8: Conflagration (Rank 2, Rank 3, Challenge!)
    Level 11: Thermal Reverberation
    Level 14: Invulnerability (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 17: Resurgence (Rank 2)
Level 20: Fire Snake (Rank 2, Trail Blazer)
Level 23: Incinerate (Rank 2, Rank 3, Challenge!)
    Level 26: Flashfire
Level 29: Absorb Heat (Rank 2, Rank 3, Challenge!)
Level 32: Endorphin Rush (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 35: Immolation
Level 38: Fractal Aegis (Chilling Reminder)
    Adv. Points: 36/36

    Travel Powers
Level 6: Fire Flight (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 35:

    Specializations
    Constitution: Unyielding (1/2)
    Constitution: Fuel My Fire (3/3)
    Constitution: Resilient (2/2)
    Constitution: Adrenaline Rush (2/2)
    Constitution: Armored (2/2)
    Protector: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Protector: Bulwark (2/2)
    Protector: Debilitating Challenge (2/2)
    Protector: Resolute (3/3)
    Guardian: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Guardian: Ruthless (2/2)
    Guardian: Find the Mark (3/3)
    Guardian: The Best Defense (2/3)
    Mastery: Protector Mastery (1/1)

Not an early leveling build (you can train in Fire Strike, Fireball, and/or Fire Breath early on and train out of them later at an in-game Powerhouse), and if you don't have Fractal Aegis then you can just replace it w/ something else.

The build keeps Firesnake and Flashfire up (whenever available), and otherwise uses Incinerate as its main single-target attack, and Conflag as its main AoE. Absorb Heat, ERush, and Resurgence can all help heal you. Gears mostly for Con, w/ some Rec (for Fiery Will) and some extra cost discount on gear.

You could also switch Guardian spec back to Warden w/ Elusive, if you want (less crits, but more defensive overall).

Considering how that thread went, I'm disinclined to help. You seem to like Chriswolf's builds, though, so at this point I'd just advise that you seek him out for a new one.

You don't want my help? Fine. I'll stop posting Criswolf's ideas.

I thought you were asking for other people's thoughts on your builds? If you are happy with ideas from Criswolf, that's fine, but you shouldn't bad mouth Flow who spends a lot of time helping people here. He's the single most helpful person postng on the forums, even if he really doesn't play much anymore. We would all be much poorer off without him. He even tries to help those who can't be bothered to try to build something themselves and only post the barest idea of a concept, like "fire tank" or post comments like "needs work" without taking the time to say what the issues are.

Eh, it's fine to critique my builds- I make plenty of mistakes and obv have my own biases and limits. But yea his feedback hasn't been helpful. Think I'm just going to ignore his posts from now on.

You know what? I should stop criticize your builds. I rather make my own builds and fix any mistakes. Maybe it make you feel better.

I believe Flow posts some solid builds, when given enough criteria an OP asks for. When they don't, he still gives a good, solid build that is a good foundation. He includes comments about various power selections that are very helpful.

However, he also comments that you can make changes of your own to suit your taste/theme.

Your final comment is an unnecessary slight on a person that has been trying to help you. Especially from my perspective of just coming upon this thread and reading it, to this point.

Ok I'm sorry about what happened last month. I was wrong, I was very wrong about showing Criswolf's build to you. Even criticize your ideas and builds. What warcanch says is true. I believe you posts too. And other builds I've requested are very helpful.

Okay, well I accept your apology 8) In the future, if you do have issues w/ a build of mine (or anyone else's), it's fine to point that out. But we do need more info on what isn't working to help troubleshoot, if you want us to try to help fix it in good faith. Just because a build may work for one player doesn't necessarily mean it may work for someone else, after all.
