I've looked for a previous thread about a jungle apeman-esque character, freeform, that would use a single blade and archery; just something that reflected what that character would "really" use thematically. I found many guides/builds on each individually but none that mixed these two. Is it just an incompatible range vs. melee mix that's a bridge too far to be usable at all or must I limit the theme and make a choice on one or the other as the primary? Thanks!

The last 1-2 powers can be w/e ya want.
It's mainly an SB build, but still has a few Archery powers for ranged options and some extra utility. Desperate Shot and Medical Arrow can help proc MSA for extra energy (which you'll prob want for Storm of Arrows at least), and they can also help heal. For single-targets, it uses Reaper's Caress to put up bleeds and Shredded, charged Dragon's Bite for Rush's extra energy, and charged Reaper's Embrace for a burst of dmg when you get to 5x Bleed. Reaper's Caress and Strom of Arrows can also be your main AoE attacks. You could also opt for the Root adv on Torrent of Arrows for some ranged AoE CC, though this will lower its base dmg compared to Rank3. The build gears mostly for Dex, w/ some Int and Con.
(edit: since I mistakenly called Storm of Arrows 'torrent of arrows', which is a different AoE power)
