Release Notes 3/17/2022

Circus Malvanum
  • For the next week this event will be running.
  • New Mission: Complete Two-Lane Rooftop 5 times, rewards the Bubblegum Bike.
  • New Mission: Complete Forum Malvanum 5 times, rewards the barbarian Shoulders costume.
  • Added Barbarian Bracers costume to the event store.
  • Added Glory auras to the event store.




Forum Malvanum
  • Added the option to skip cutscenes. At least 3 players must activate the option before exiting the starting area.
  • Timers no longer count down during cutscenes. However, all timers have been adjusted to be their intended times (as they had the cutscene timers added onto them).
  • Gave Firewing unique FX for his abilities.
  • Increased the area effect range of Firewing's abilities.
  • Updated visual cues for Firewing's abilities.
  • Slightly increased Firewing's health.
  • Adjusted Firewing's costume.
  • Adjusted Tateklys's costume.
  • Black Fang, Zoe Loft, and Kevin Poe can now appear during Round 9.
  • Rare chance for a Depleted Uranium Core to drop for completing Round 10.



ZEN Store
The Stormsurge Key Pack will be available for the next week.
  • Cost: 900 ZEN
  • 10x Cosmic Keys of Power
  • 1x Windswept Hair Costume




UI
  • Added option to change the tailor background. Currently there are 4 options.
  • Added option to hide the tailor UI.




Imperium
  • Added a Eidolon of Destruction store. This store is only visible if you have defeated the Eidolon of Destruction.


Caliburn
  • Added a Therakiel's Lair store. This store is only visible if you have completed Therakiel's Lair.



Powers
  • Lightning Arc Blindside Adv: Fixed a bug where the duration of this effect lasted longer than the duration of the maintain.

    Still need a Fusion Week! Maybe add a costume piece for fusing 5000 mods when we get it again?

    Nice to have another mission that drops the DUC! Just hoping that the chance to get one from Harmon Labs was not cut in half to compensate for the chance of getting one from FM.

    The changes to the tailor sound nice, but please, put back the option to hide unowned pieces in the front tab or make it default to the last choice we made. The tailor lags a lot with the option disabled.

    Normal or Epic version? Because i have completed that lair in the normal version but i don't see the store.

    Honestly, I don't get those new hair styles..first the flowing hair that looked awful - now this one.
    Who is designing those..and who gives the ok for the release? Don't they test these costume pieces? :/
    The front looks good on female toons, not so much on male ones but the back ruins it anyways.It is just a mess..it deforms on male chars and protrudes strangely on female chars.
    It can't be combined with most other hairstyles, except for the shorter ones but that doesn't change the awkward looking back side.
    So..do yourself a favor people..don't waste your money on it - like I did -.-

    The shoulders look like they have a nice skull feature. A little more barbaric than the lockbox shoulders :)

    Seriously? 50-100 essence for the Q shop items? Its a DAILY reward. Even if you can scrounge enough players to actually accomplish it EVERY day, it'll take over a month and a half to get anything from it. Or a third of a year for one of the 100's.

    So way to price out anyone who hasn't already been farming this guy at every opportunity there is since he came out. Because yea, I realize there are people who probably have 50-100 or more, but that's all the more reason for why you maybe should have released the store and the currency at the same time instead of over a year apart.

    And I'm sorry, but what even took so long to make the shop in the first place? All of the rewards in it are already items in the game. I could see if you were creating new stuff to put in it but no, same stuff. Seems like a poor excuse to charge ten times as much is reasonable.

    A large part of the player base is ALREADY turned away from endgame content, why are we making it even MORE inaccessible and unfeasible to accomplish? Sure, the most dedicated players will take it as a challenge and have been farming for this stuff for over a year, but the majority of players won't care.

    Honestly, who's in charge here? Is there no oversight at all?

    On the other hand, I will give credit where its due. The changes to the Forum Malvanum are top notch. Tateklys looks 1000x better and more accurate, Firewing and his new effects are awesome, adding the gang bosses is a nice touch, but being able to skip the cutscenes is MONUMENTAL. I also love that we still get to hear the voice over between rounds so its still immersive without being disruptive. Farming it might actually be fun, especially with the rare chance at a DUC. Though I still think the Duratok and Ironclad fight could use an extra 10-30 seconds to be more reliably completed by more random groups.

    It appears to be the newer version only.

    I'm like you, I have several characters that have done old version 100s of times. They have the physical items of Therakiels Burnt Feather. But, not the currency called Therakiels Burnt Feather. That's some pretty outrageous BS right there.​​

    Forum Malvanum changes are good but the spawn point needs to be out in the arena, not the tunnel. Not only does it hamper the fight due to aoes, but tanks get stuck in walls and cannot be attacked.

    As for the new vendors... hardly any items in TT vendor (please put all the unlocks in it (like statue wings for example) and the prices are a grindfest nightmare. Either increase the amount of currency a player needs to make purchases or reduce prices. Also, add a conversion vendor/option to trade in old burnt feathers since they're useless as is.

    Yes, the changes to the Forum Malvanum are fantastic. A really welcome change from last week's Save the Earth.

    I actually prefer, so far, the chance to fight all those mobs in the tunnel. Keeps them tightly clumped for player AoE's to mow them down faster and less chance for knot heads kiting them all over the place. I do feel sorry for all the paying spectators who can't see the action in the tunnel.

    So we have to get the other players to agree to skip the cutscene?
    Not sure that is a good idea.

    When I learned it was a vote2skip based system, I decided skipping the entire queue was an easier option.

    Everytime someone makes a character that is an copy of an existing superhuman, Creativity is sad :'(

    People that leave the arena if the cut-scene starts because some people don't know, or remember, that there's a means to skip, are butt-heads.

    Maybe other players could be kind enough to inform them, but remember that some new players might WANT to see the cut-scene.

    That is all I have to say about that.

    You only need 3 people to skip, my last 2 runs I didn't even have to vote because of the rest of the team avoid the cut scenes before I even got into the game

    Ditto. Maybe because the mechanic is used in a number of other missions at this point, folks seem to be pretty consistently voting.

    This probably isn't intentional, but doing FM with cutscenes disabled is MUCH easier, because form stacks don't fall off like they did during the cutscenes, so you start each round with full stacks. Its a huge advantage, particularly in the Ironclad round, less so in the firewing round since the timer is much more forgiving there.

    Disabling something cosmetic shouldn't provide that big of an advantage.

    Maybe it also seems easier because more high power dps are doing it for a chance at the DUC?

    Has anybody noticed Firewing's aggro is a bit odd? For the most part he will focus the highest aggro player, but he will occasionally target another player seemingly at random.

    To be clear, I'm not talking about his televised attacks, which I'm aware can target other players, I'm talking about his actual focused target changing briefly and then he can use incinerate or conflagration on an unsuspecting player.

    I know this isn't purely down to players out aggroing each other, as I've had healers tank the aggro for a tank mid fight.

    With threat wipes more prevalent these days, I could see healers getting aggro if there are no tanks and DPS are using threat wipes.
