Help with a Faun build (nature magic w/ bow & arrows)

benoitseanbenoitsean Posts: 322 Arc User
I want to create a faun using nature type magic with bow and arrow. I was thinking of a support/dps role.

Problem is there are no actual nature magic abilities so I'm at a loss. Maybe a little bit of healing. Basically anything that look like nature. Plants and stuff like that. I also want to add in the animal control ability as part of the nature aspect.

As far as the bow and arrows I don't want anything that explodes or anything like that. It should be organic because she's supposed to be using tree branches as arrows.

I really don't know where to start. I was thinking maybe night warrior for the passive for the extra damage plus the stealth.

Other than that I don't know. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hm.. I guess you could also imagine stuff like Medical Arrow and Gas Arrow as using a sort of nature magic or something, sure. Anyways, the main issue w/ your build atm is that it lacks a decent filler attack (for AoE and single-target). LE is a fine heal, but it's not going to be strong offensively w/ its adv. Also, if you're keeping the Wisp (and Med Arrow's Illum adv) then you may as well switch to Conjuring as the EU, since the Wisp rolls it pretty easily. You also prob won't need the Illum adv being on both the Wisp and Med Arrow. Here's an example edit of it, trying to keep many of the same powers in there:

    Faun - Freeform (Ranged Damage)
    v3.44:37

    Super Stats
    Level 6: Intelligence (Primary)
    Level 10: Dexterity (Secondary)
    Level 15: Constitution (Secondary)

    Talents
    Level 1: The Specialist (Dex: 10, Con: 10, Int: 8, Rec: 10)
Level 6: Covert Ops Training (Str: 3, Dex: 3, Con: 3, Int: 3)
    Level 9: Negotiator (Int: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 12: Quick Recovery (Con: 5, Rec: 5)
    Level 15: Coordinated (Dex: 5, Int: 5)
Level 18: Healthy Mind (Con: 5, Int: 5)
    Level 21: Acrobat (Dex: 5, Con: 5)

    Powers
    Level 1: Strafe
Level 1: Medical Arrow (Dizzying Impact, Illuminate, USB Arrow)
    Level 6: Concentration
Level 8: Night Warrior (Rank 2, Rank 3, Silent Running)
Level 11: Storm of Arrows (Rank 2, Achilles' Heel)
    Level 14: Will-o'-the-Wisp (Ghost Fire)
    Level 17: Conjuring
Level 20: Rapid Shots (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 23: Resurgence (Rank 2)
Level 26: Life Essence (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 29: Gas Arrow (Noxious Fumes)
Level 32: Command Animals (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 35: Antagonize (Rank 2)
    Level 38: Fiery Embrace
    Adv. Points: 36/36

    Travel Powers
Level 6: Ninja Leaves (Rank 2)
    Level 35: Athletics (Rank 2)

    Specializations
    Intelligence: Enlightened (3/3)
    Intelligence: Battle of Wits (2/3)
    Intelligence: Detect Vulnerability (3/3)
    Intelligence: Expertise (2/2)
    Guardian: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Guardian: Ruthless (2/2)
    Guardian: Find the Mark (3/3)
    Guardian: The Best Defense (2/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (2/3)
    Mastery: Intelligence Mastery (1/1)

Can keep the Wisp and Med Arrow up, while channeling Rapid Shots for single-target dps, or Storm of Arrows for AoE. Life Essence can also be thrown in to help heal yourself, your pets, and/or allies. Some of the advs could also be changed around, but the build should be able to function as is. Gears mostly for Int, w/ some Con and Dex.
