Best sidekick for voucher mechanically?

Trying to decide on a sidekick to get with my voucher. I'm ranged, what would be strongest for me mechanically?

    I suppose it depends on your build.

    I do not know which are on offer right now... but if you are not concerned from a visual or backstory perspective, just go with one that places a debuff that is useful for you: i.e. Negative Ions if you use Electricity; Fear for Darkness; Illumination for Celestial; etc..

    A sidekick that can apply handy debuffs is nice. Some of the sidekicks are a little more Tanky, like Bouldero, and can be nice if you have a threat wipe to switch an enemy's focus to your sidekick while you heal, etc..

    I went with bouldero and he's working out extremely nicely.
