The Difficulty In Making a "Engineer" like Build

Hi All

So before I try to post this in builds, I'll like some some guidance on how to make this work, however given that we lack either certain powers or the framework of how the Powers work it may become difficult.

The concept behind the build is a "Engineer Class" from Mass Effect, now I understand that both games are completely different in their Framework (For example: Biotic Ascension "Accumulate charges by killing enemies") Type of powers we do not have, but some powers in CO can either resemble or mimic the more basic power sets from ME: 3 and ME: A.

So with that being said, I can only go off basic powers from the game, rather then what we don't have in-game.

The ideal powers I'm looking to use are the following:

Overload
Flamethrower or Incinerate
Cyro Blast
Sabotage

Now most of these powers from CO Framework should not be too hard to pull off: Overload can be a numerous Arc powers (Chain Lighting/Electrocute)

Cyro Blast, Ice Blast or Icicle Spear

Heat Wave or Fire Strike can act a Incinerate or Flamethrower.

Now getting the powers to act like utilitys isn't a issue, it's trying to build them into a Munitions or Gadgeteering as the main framework (Using Dual Pistols/Assault Rifle or the Pulse Rifle), I'm not sure what will be stronger for a DPS like build, due to Gadgeteering 's main weapons are not strong and Assault Rifle is quite far down the tree.

So does anyone have any ideas?
Psi.

I'd prob use Thunderstrike w/ its KD adv for Overload, since it could CC tech-based enemies in ME. Incinerate (in ME, not CO's Incinerate) could be Firestrike, though it's kinda weak as a power, so maybe just settle on Rimefire Burst instead (it also has the Chill/Cold component, but you can ignore that for the theme). Flamethrower in ME came from the hands/wrist (omni-tool) and not from a ranged weapon, so I may pass on that (though CO's Flamethrower is still an option if you can suspend your disbelief a bit more). Cryo Blast also emanated from the hands, so Frostbreath is prob out. Ice Blast can work, though it's kinda redundant w/ a normal attack like PBR or AR (maybe you could throw it in w/ Avenger Mastery, though). Sabotage would be a type of Confuse, I guess, but only on robotic targets; Confuse isn't great in CO anyways, so I'd prob just pass on that one. I assume you'd also want a drone or muni bot pet if this is based off of an ME Engineer class.

Here's an example of how that could work:

(Unnamed Build) - Freeform (Ranged Damage)
    v3.44:37

    Super Stats
    Level 6: Intelligence (Primary)
    Level 10: Dexterity (Secondary)
    Level 15: Constitution (Secondary)

    Talents
    Level 1: The Specialist (Dex: 10, Con: 10, Int: 8, Rec: 10)
    Level 6: Investigator (Int: 5, End: 5)
    Level 9: Accurate (Dex: 5, End: 5)
Level 12: Boundless Reserves (Con: 5, End: 5)
    Level 15: Coordinated (Dex: 5, Int: 5)
Level 18: Healthy Mind (Con: 5, Int: 5)
    Level 21: Acrobat (Dex: 5, Con: 5)

    Powers
    Level 1: Sonic Blaster
Level 1: Pulse Beam Rifle (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 6: Concentration
Level 8: Night Warrior (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 11: Submachinegun Burst (Rank 2, Wall of Bullets)
Level 14: Thunderstrike (Strike Down, Recharge)
    Level 17: Molecular Self-Assembly
    Level 20: Resurgence (Rank 2)
Level 23: Rimefire Burst (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 26: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 29: Munitions Bots
Level 32: Energy Shield (Rank 2)
Level 35: Ice Blast (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 38:
    Adv. Points: 33/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6:
    Level 35:

    Specializations
    Intelligence: Preparation (2/2)
    Intelligence: Enlightened (3/3)
    Intelligence: Detect Vulnerability (3/3)
    Intelligence: Expertise (2/2)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (2/3)
    Avenger: Ruthless (2/2)
    Avenger: Round 'em Up (3/3)
    Avenger: Surprise Attack (2/2)
    Avenger: Relentless Assault (3/3)
    Mastery: Avenger Mastery (1/1)

The last power can be w/e ya want.

AR could be used instead of PBR, w/ a bit of power re-ordering (and maybe taking a Muni energy builder). When Avenger Mastery procs from any of your maintained attacks, you can use it on a quick charge of Ice Blast. Gears mostly for Int, w/ some Dex and Con.

So I had a toy with this until nearly midnight and after some bashing around with what I chuold do, there's just no way this build will work. However I did come up with a compromise.

    I'll post the build soon.

Also, I may as well hijack my own thread but I do want some tips on this:

So there is a build that I am working on that, while it isn't necessary I'll like to try alteast, I am trying to find a Aura that is able to make the Invisible Holo Texture appear while in combat, however I do not wish to use full body auras.

I'm trying to make the right arm (or both) to allow Holo Texture appear that I've colored black to appear as noticeable as possible without destroying the look.

Something like this: screenshot-2021-06-28-10-07-45.jpg (Oh no spoilers on my next build!)

(Note: The blade itself is a weapon skin, so try to ignore that)

Now if there is no type of aura that allows me to allow the Bracer part show up only in combat then, don't worry, just something I'd like to tackle if it's possbile.

There are a few auras that might get you what you want. I'm thinking the Quicksilver auras from the Gold Recognition vendor may do the trick.
