Looking for a HW/Munition Build

Looking to build a dmc dante type character but I'm bad at making builds. Would prefer if it also had two gun mojo and/or lead tempest. Thank you in advance!

Well, it can be kinda redundant to have TGM and/or LT from Muni but also have HW on top. It's also not as efficient generally to build for both melee and ranged in CO, though you can still go for it if you want to stick to the concept more. I'm also unsure if you want to focus more on melee or on ranged here, and whether you want to make it more of a tank_hybrid or more of a dps unit.

To throw something out there for now, I guess I'll give you a dps build that can play either at melee or at ranged, though the slotted passive and/or role could also be changed if you want to shift the focus of the build a bit:

(Unnamed Build) - Freeform (Melee Damage)
    v3.44:37

    Super Stats
    Level 6: Dexterity (Primary)
    Level 10: Intelligence (Secondary)
    Level 15: Constitution (Secondary)

    Talents
    Level 1: The Specialist (Dex: 10, Con: 10, Int: 8, Rec: 10)
Level 6: Covert Ops Training (Str: 3, Dex: 3, Con: 3, Int: 3)
    Level 9: Impresario (Dex: 5, Rec: 5)
    Level 12: Negotiator (Int: 5, Rec: 5)
    Level 15: Coordinated (Dex: 5, Int: 5)
    Level 18: Acrobat (Dex: 5, Con: 5)
Level 21: Healthy Mind (Con: 5, Int: 5)

    Powers
    Level 1: Gunslinger
Level 1: Cleave (Rank 2, Rampant)
Level 6: Holdout Shot (Stim Pack, Open Wound)
Level 8: Night Warrior (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 11: Form of the Tempest
    Level 14: Molecular Self-Assembly
Level 17: Frag Grenade (Cuts and Scrapes)
Level 20: Annihilate (Rank 2, Scorching Blade)
    Level 23: Resurgence (Rank 2)
Level 26: Lead Tempest (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 29: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 32: Two-Gun Mojo (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 35: Guard (Rank 2)
    Level 38:
    Adv. Points: 34/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6:
    Level 35:

    Specializations
    Dexterity: Combat Training (3/3)
    Dexterity: Gear Utilization (2/3)
    Dexterity: Deadly Aim (3/3)
    Dexterity: Expose Weakness (2/2)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (2/3)
    Warden: Fortified Gear (2/3)
    Warden: Slaughter (3/3)
    Warden: Ruthless (2/2)
    Warden: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Mastery: Dexterity Mastery (1/1)

The last power can be w/e ya want

Frag Grenade, Holdout Shot, and Conviction can all help proc MSA overall. For melee, you can use Cleave for AoE and to put up CFlames (and Reckless), while Annihilate can be your main single-target attack. For ranged, LT can be your main AoE and TGM can be your main single-target attack. In both cases, Frag Grenade can also help debuff for Crushing and Piercing dmg here. Gears mostly for Dex, w/ some Int and Con.

  • Thanks, I prefer TGM over LT if it were to make the build better. Whichever is most efficient would be perfect. Thank you for the build I'll give this a shot!

Well, TGM would actually be the less-desirable choice here, imo, since it's single-target, and generally in a ranged + melee build it's better to have ranged for wider AoE coverage and melee for a single-target focus. It's kinda weird to jump into melee for its tighter AoE but to use a ranged attack for single-target dps. It is up to you, though, as most content in CO is general easy enough that any mix of the approaches could still prob function alright.

LT also doesn't really mix w/ the toggle/form and EU options that HW would typically get (Enrage or FotTiger and Pulv or TReverb). Maybe it could work if you weaved in something like taps of Burst Shot w/ adv for a quick knock when using LT (and that could also supply a Crushing debuff for HW). Here's an example of that approach:

(Unnamed Build) - Freeform (Melee Damage)
    v3.44:37

    Super Stats
    Level 6: Strength (Primary)
    Level 10: Recovery (Secondary)
    Level 15: Constitution (Secondary)

    Talents
    Level 1: The Rockstar (Str: 10, Con: 10, Rec: 8, End: 10)
    Level 6: Paramilitary Training (Str: 3, Con: 3, Rec: 3, End: 3)
    Level 9: Relentless (Str: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 12: Quick Recovery (Con: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 15: Amazing Stamina (Rec: 5, End: 5)
Level 18: Physical Conditioning (Str: 5, Con: 5)
    Level 21: Bodybuilder (Str: 5, End: 5)

    Powers
    Level 1: Bludgeon
Level 1: Eruption (Rank 2, Magma Burst)
    Level 6: Enrage
Level 8: Night Warrior (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 11: Pulverizer
Level 14: Burst Shot (Taking Names, Off Your Feet)
    Level 17: Resurgence (Rank 2)
Level 20: Annihilate (Rank 2, Scorching Blade)
Level 23: Lead Tempest (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 26: Endorphin Rush (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 29: Guard (Rank 2)
    Level 32:
    Level 35:
    Level 38:
    Adv. Points: 28/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6:
    Level 35:

    Specializations
    Strength: Swole (2/3)
    Strength: Physical Peak (3/3)
    Strength: Brutality (2/2)
    Strength: Juggernaut (1/3)
    Strength: Overpower (2/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (2/3)
    Warden: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Warden: Ruthless (2/2)
    Warden: Elusive (2/2)
    Warden: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Mastery: Strength Mastery (1/1)

The open powers can be w/e ya want (maybe add Arc or Ruin w/ advs for a melee AoE option and another debuff). It's also not an early leveling build, but you could use Cleave early on and re-train out of it later.

Uses Eruption to put up and refresh CFlames (or tap Arc or Ruin to refresh CFlames, if taking it), while taps of Burst Shot can put up and refresh the AP debuff (and Furious), and Annihilate is the main single-target attack. For AoE, just use LT as your main attack for groups that are spread out, and quickly tap Burst Shot on a target between every channel of LT (to keep Enrage and Pulverizer going). Gears mostly for Str, w/ some Rec and Con.

This build is a bit more focused in its playstyle, but also doesn't have as many attack options as the other build overall (and also has a different stat focus). Again, it's up to you on what general approach you want to take, but I hope it works out for you, regardless.
