Cybermind Hints and Facts

Allright.

First off the ambush. The Red walls take damage unless someone uses PSI powers on it. It's a bug that's been around years but alot of new players don't know.

The Black walls. They don't do a damned thing. You could attack them with 15 pets, I have, and it won't heal 1 hp.

The Red Walls. Now there is trouble. They have a passive Aura. Works on objects and Enemy Mobs. It will trigger unless under repeated attacks.
The Regen aura is a beast. It will heal 500Hp every 0.25s. 2000 Hp a second.

Now for Cybermind fight himself.

First off the Door will Lock if Anyone gets close to Any of the 9 squares on the ground. You don't have to even touch cybermind. So make sure your ENTIRE party is in the room before approaching.

Those squares will change color. If you are range you head for the color of the square right next to the pillar behind it, ignore the one off to the side. This will protect you from the Cyber Rain.
The one in the middle, Cyberminds, must have at least 1 person standing in it or CM will use a rather annoying knock that can send you flying even if you're blocking.

Second Stage.
This is where some annoying cubes spawn in, each protected by a color that you need to buff yourself with from a pillar. The pillars have switched at this time so they apply a buff to damage the cubes, once you beat the cubes they will switch back and if you're standing there will die to data rain. Careful, the cubes have an AoE knock and hit as hard as CM. While they're about CM is completely immune to all damage. Make sure one person stands on his square or be prepared to get knocked around.

Usually you get 3 cubes, one of each color, but occasionally there will spawn 4 cubes of 2 sets of 2 colors. Check before dashing to the pillars.

Final stage.
No more Rain. Yay!
Instead he calls in a remote avatar he controls from above. If you do not match the color he shows on his body before calling the giant in you're in for a whole lot of owch. The attacks of the Giant gain additional, UNBLOCKABLE, damage that will always do max damage no matter what protections you have going on for you.

HINT
You can't see because of Skill spam? Pan your camera around to the side opposite of you on CM, zoom in until he and his square fill your screen. Most of the effects of the attacks hitting him will be removed or muted.

Hope this helps you'all.

One other thing that might be worth mentioning that might throw people for a loop the first couple times: during the second phase when the cubes spawn, usually you'll get three, one of each color, red, blue, yellow. But sometimes you'll get two of two colors, like two red and two yellow and no blue. So, remember to do a quick scan before rushing to a grab a color buff!

It's also worth noting that if there is no tank or melee DPS on your team, Cybermind will continuously switch targets at random. It's important for someone to stick within melee distance whenever possible, or you risk getting your team picked off, not just during the rain.

Nothing random about it, he attacks person with the highest aggro. If he's switching a lot either people are threat wiping or they're blocking and everyone has fairly similar threat.

I think what he meant was that Cybermind will continuously attack targets at random when his main target isn't in melee range.

That's right. If no one is in melee range, aggro doesn't matter. In thay way Cybermind functions different from every other boss in the game in that he prioritizes melee over everything else. That's why he hits random people when everyone runs off to get the color buffs.

Bottom line is that for the alert to go smoothly, someone should be in melee range as much as possible.

Another gotcha is the end of the add phase - you have to be careful not to be standing in any of the colored pillars when the last add dies; if you are, you will die on the next data rain.

Because everyone's color buffs get wiped when the add phase ends, so if you're in a pillar at that point, it'll instantly re-apply - preventing you from getting the correct color for the data rain, or, if it happens to be one of the 'safe' colors, instead running out in the middle of the rain since you can't refresh the buff.
