Well, you can considerably boost the dps of the Hybrid build by using an offensive passive (like Night Warrior) and the Ranged dps role instead. And yea, ofc you can mix Muni and Darkness. Here's one example build of that:
Specializations
Ego: Force of Will(2/2)
Ego: Insight(3/3)
Ego: Follow Through(3/3)
Ego: Sixth Sense(2/3)
Vindicator: Aggressive Stance(2/2)
Vindicator: Merciless(3/3)
Vindicator: Focused Strikes(3/3)
Vindicator: Mass Destruction(2/3)
Guardian: Fortified Gear(3/3)
Guardian: Ruthless(2/2)
Guardian: Find the Mark(2/3)
Guardian: The Best Defense(3/3)
Mastery: Ego Mastery(1/1)
The open power slots can be used for w/e ya want.
Burst Shot can put and refresh the AP debuff, while Grasping Shadows and/or Dimensional Collapse can put up Fear and add some DoT dmg in the background. Bullet Hail (or SMG Burst) is the main AoE attack here, and TGM (or Assault Rifle) is the main single-target attack. Gears mostly for Ego, w/ some Con and Rec.
The main advantage of that thing is its Alpha Strike, but getting close enough to deliver it when everybody and its grandma sees
through it is tedious to say it politely. Another suggestion for the passive maybe ?
You don't have to use the Shadowstrike or Sneak aspects of NW for it to be a good universal dps passive. I gave NW to you here because of its general dmg boosts and not really cause of the stealth aspects anyways, so you can just drag those abilities off of your hotbars if you don't want to use them and/or if they don't match the theme.

- Be safe and have fun, champs - for science!
Night Warrior...
I really dislike that one.
