Superman Build

Alright, I know this topic has been discussed before. I know using eye beams is going to be a pain but i want it anyways. Enrage is another problem for me, Supes is not the Hulk, is there another power i could use in its place ??? I think i'll go with wind breath. I also need another option instead of Night Warrior, is there another option ??? Obviously i'll want Invulnerability, but not sure that gonna work .

Enrage is just a toggle/form. It's not logical to replace it with an attack, but rather with another toggle/form (it would make more sense to not want something like Unleashed Rage in there, but you don't need that in a Might build as is).

Anyways, because of how Eye Beams work in CO, Supes builds here usually would just want to focus on Might. I'd still keep Enrage, cause it procs w/ both Might's attacks and Wind Breath's KD adv, and the only other workable alternative is FotTempest in MA (which imo makes even less sense if you care about the 'theme' of a toggle/form - and you shouldn't, really). You can still include Eye Beam, but just for the theme/look and not as a regular attack (cause it'll be weak when used alone, will lockout all other powers, and will not proc the toggle/form or EU). Thankfully, Hurl is thematic and useful as a Demolish applier, so that's nice to work with. Also, you'll have to play in Hybrid role if you want to use Invuln, but that's fine here:

    (Unnamed Build) - Freeform (Hybrid)
    v3.44:36

    Super Stats
    Level 6: Strength (Primary)
    Level 10: Recovery (Secondary)
    Level 15: Constitution (Secondary)

    Talents
    Level 1: The Behemoth (Str: 10, Con: 10, Rec: 10, End: 8)
    Level 6: Paramilitary Training (Str: 3, Con: 3, Rec: 3, End: 3)
    Level 9: Relentless (Str: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 12: Quick Recovery (Con: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 15: Amazing Stamina (Rec: 5, End: 5)
    Level 18: Bodybuilder (Str: 5, End: 5)
Level 21: Physical Conditioning (Str: 5, Con: 5)

    Powers
    Level 1: Clobber
Level 1: Defensive Combo (Rank 2, Rank 3, Pummel)
    Level 6: Enrage
    Level 8: Invulnerability (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 11: Pulverizer
Level 14: Wind Breath (Rank 2, Unstable Footing)
    Level 17: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 20: Haymaker (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 23: Hurl (Hard Fall, Didn't See That Coming)
    Level 26: Resurgence (Rank 2)
Level 29: Mighty Leap (Nailed to the Ground)
    Level 32: Retaliation (Rank 2)
    Level 35: Eye Beam
    Level 38:
    Adv. Points: 31/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6: Flight
    Level 35: Superspeed

    Specializations
    Strength: Swole (2/3)
    Strength: Physical Peak (3/3)
    Strength: Brutality (2/2)
    Strength: Juggernaut (1/3)
    Strength: Overpower (2/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (2/3)
    Warden: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Warden: Ruthless (2/2)
    Warden: Upper Hand (2/3)
    Warden: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Mastery: Strength Mastery (1/1)

The last power can be w/e ya want.

Defense Combo and Wind Breath can be used for trash/AoE (and the combo's dmg shield can be nice for playing defensively). Haymaker is the main attack vs. single-targets, and Hurl can help debuff for it. Gears mostly for Str, w/ some Con and Rec.

The biggest issue with any Superman build is: what is he shooting from his eyes?

Do I give a bit on theme to go with something non-maintained?
Do I go with Eyebeam power knowing that it is low-powered and is a 5 second toggle that prohibits interrupting with some other power?
Do I get some power that looks OK but is intermittent, such as an Energy Builder?

Unfortunately, there aren't many things to work with. Especially since some powers that have a head emanation point STILL look like they're coming from the chest.

As for me, I've resolved the issue by being a bit more OPEN on what his head is firing. Sometimes it is parody character, so he has an ICY STARE (Ice EB or Ice Blast) or STARES DAGGERS (TK Assault or Barrage). Oh, char name is SUPERIOR MAN. Hauty alien from another planet that KNOWS he's so much better than YOU.
