Unable to type in Launcher

i installed the program for the free weekend through Steam, but when i launch the game, i am unable to actually log into it. The Text boxes don't allow me to type anything in them.

    The launcher uses IE even if you have a different browser as your default.
    Make sure IE is not set to off line, and does not have the autofill in feature turn on, also try clearing the IE cache. And if you wish Update it to IE 8.

    I have almost have the same problem..i cant type anthingin all text boxex especially in log in how do you clear the IE cache?and what is IE?haha
