Infernal Supernatural build

Ok I wanted general feedback for this build before I commit to it on the live servers. I was looking for a darkness/void looking set of powers. Unfortunately I dislike the way most of darkness plays out so I started messing with color choices on various power trees to see if I could make a viable alternative. I settled on infernal supernatural since it seems to have as close to the darkness look I want. Now the power choices here are in no particular order. I always place powers I am unsure of at the end just in case I want to change them out.

Not too sure about the virulent propagation adv on infernal blast (haven't had much experience with it).
I prefer the look of defile versus soul beam, but not sure if I would be sacrificing too much dps. Really hard to test the difference between the 2 in just the PH on the pts.
And honestly I am not sure which pairs better with the avenger spec...guardian or vindicator. But I like to be very durable so I usually use guardian.
As for the travel powers I know they may seem redundant. But I like being able to tp past trash mobs and yet I also want to attack in the open world from 100 ft off the ground when the situation allows. I have feline metabolic serum for those instances where flight isn't possible and I just need to move a bit faster like cosmics and such.

Ok any advice, insights, or even alternative choices are of course welcome. And thankyou in advance for your time and help.

You could use Virulent Propagation to spread Debilitating Poison from the Wisp in an AoE, if that matters to you, or just to refresh poisons easily. Else, Soul Beam will likely be your main single-target attack here, and Wisp would be used to debuff for it and proc Mephitic (since Soul Beam obv can't do that alone). Defile is also fine as a single-target attack instead, if you can afford using it heavily. Here's an example edit, using the Defile option:

    Adv. Points: 34/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6: Teleportation
Level 35: Regal Flight (Rank 2, Rank 3)

    Specializations
    Ego: Force of Will (2/2)
    Ego: Insight (3/3)
    Ego: Follow Through (3/3)
    Ego: Sixth Sense (2/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (2/3)
    Avenger: Ruthless (2/2)
    Avenger: Round 'em Up (3/3)
    Avenger: Relentless Assault (2/3)
    Avenger: Preemptive Strike (3/3)
    Mastery: Ego Mastery (1/1)

The open power slot can be w/e ya want.

Switched to Ego PSS and gearing for Insight and higher defense, while still having good dps options in its 2nd tier, but you can go also back to Dex if you want. Defile is the main single-target attack, but IBlast can be used to keep poisons & Mephitic rolling, and ease on the energy use for Defile a bit. Ofc, the Wisp can debuff, and Epidemic can be the main AoE. Guardicator specs can also work well here. Gears mostly for Ego, w/ some Con and End.

OK I will try this out with the ego/end in the pts PH and see how it goes. Thanks!

If I choose Defile over soul beam, then would Pestilence be better than Enchanter as a passive rather then Enchanter?
  • flowcytoflowcyto Posts: 12,847 Arc User
Yea, you could get Pestilence when using Defile for the extra DoT dmg and -resist from poison stacks, though keep in mind it won't boost Crashing Incantation's Magic dmg then.

Decided to keep Enchanter and swap out Crashing Incantation for Endbringer's Grasp. Seems to work better plus the animation really fits better with my theme.
