First build need help

I have played alot of champions in the past but ive only recently gotten my hands on a few freeform slots. I have always enjoyed the munitions powers so I tried to come up with a build using mostly those powers. I themed my build off of Serious Sam who is one of my favorite video game characters ever. I know i could have alot more weapons in the build but i also want to try to optimize him for endgame DPS.

I took some tips from the Endgame DPS Guide on the forums for building this. Would appreciate any tips to improve the build.

    Well, one of the benefits to using AR in Muni is that you can play from long-ranged, but here you won't be able to refresh or apply Armor Piercing w/o using an attack that is limited to 50ft. That's still fine if you're okay w/ playing a bit closer, but if you want to play far out w/ AR then you'll prob want Gatling Gun w/ adv for the Furious refresh and AP debuff from long-range (you do have Rocket and LNL for Furious at that range, at least). Gatling can apply the AP debuff initially (somewhat chance-based, though full maintains guarantee the AP debuff), and then taps of it can refresh both the AP debuff and all Furious stacks (w/ the LtR adv) from there on out.

    Also, BCR/RR + MD is a good combo, but BCR still comes w/ a 10% base dmg penalty when used, and you didn't get the RR adv here anyways. You could just get R1-R2 Resurgence, drop BCR, and free up a power slot there. You also typically don't want to rank up your toggle/form (here, Concentration). Speaking of Conc- you may already know this, but keep in mind that your main stat here is still Int when using it, even w/ Dex PSS.

    If you want to stay w/in 50ft with the SMG and Shotgun, you could get the Fear adv on Shotgun, and then get the 1-pt Boogeyman adv on SMG. Could also get R3 of SMG then, and just tap Shotgun to refresh the AP debuff (and Fear). Ofc, Frag Grenade is another option that you could throw in if playing w/in 50ft, and there are Mini Mines, Holdout Shot, or Trip Wire available if you want to add a small self-healing adv, or even the Sniper Rifle for upto 120ft-range dps. So, you do have different approaches you could take here- somewhat depending on what powers you want to have for the concept and your preferred playstyle w/ it.

    All good points. Thank you. I usually am close anyways so i dont mind having those changes to SMG and Shotgun. I would really love to have Gatling Gun in the build for theme so if i got rid of BCR, should i get rid of MD as well and just have the one active offense and one active defense? That would allow gatling gun to fit in the build and i could proc furious refresh and armor pierce from range if i needed too? Also should i change Concentration for Sharpshooter since my main stat is Dex?

    Sharpshooter procs off of Furious. You can still make it work in the build, but a standard ranged toggle/form like Conc is prob going to be easier in most cases here. You can always change to Chilled Form (in Ice) instead of Conc if you're focusing on Dex. Also, if you aren't focusing on Int, then you may want to change Int SS to Rec SS (since Killer Instinct mostly scales w/ Rec now).

    As for including Gatling- it's just up to you if you want it or not. It's not necessary if playing mostly at long-range is not your main goal here, as ofc there's other ways to handle the AP debuff and Furious, but it can be nice for theme and/or the option.

    edit: Oh, also, you can prob be fine w/ Conviction and Resurgence now. This is esp since Resurgence is quite strong w/ its added regen effect. LNL is a bit less important, since you have other ways of getting Furious, and most AOs aren't that strong for PvE dps builds atm anyways (they're better than nothing, if you have a spare power slot, but it's at a lower priority imo).

    I'd prob get R2 of Gatling Gun instead of R3 in LNL, depending on how often you're using Gatling. Could also potentially get another normal rank in Rocket and/or the Ult. You prob also don't really need the Accel Metab adv; maybe put the spare point into the 2nd travel power, if you're using it at all. You could also prob get away w/ just having R2 in Energy Shield, since you have Con SS'd- which could free up two more adv points to put into other powers, but I'll leave that choice up to you.

    Thank you for all of the input! My goal is to optimize this to the 4k-6k dps range. I still have alot to learn to get there but this is a start!
