Telepathy CCer/Solo Content Build Help

Never played as a CCer in game, the need (not sure if it's mandatory) to use two passives wasn't appealing to me at the time. But since I'm interested in creating a TP character, I decided to give it a shot. Here's the build I have so far:

The idea is to CC cosmics, while also having decent DPS to solo some contents (I like to solo play a lot). I haven't picked a second passive like Invulnerability, is that really necessary?
Mind Control is for flavor only, and I'm not sure if Mind Drain is good in this situation (I haven't unlocked it yet, so I'll be using Ego Blast for a while).

@flowcyto is this viable? Otherwise I could always try a "debuff healer" approach or something :)

    If you find that you are too squishy then you can always change one of the later powers for R3 Invuln, and just pull some ranks from other powers like the blast.

    You'll still have Sprites, R3 Sleep, and 2 AoE holds (charged Mental Storm and Grasping Shadows), but you also can use Ego Blast and the Hybrid role when solo to fare better there. Even w/o CC'ing, you can buff, debuff, and contribute to background healing while peppering in some dmg. Gears mostly for Pres, w/ some Con.

    The reason for a defensive passive is so you can solo pull dogs at kiga phase 2. It's not otherwise needed, and it's technically possible to do it without a defensive passive, just quite challenging.

    I manage to self-pull P2 on mine with high PRE, AoRP in support mode, MD r3, Bionic Shielding, and a consumable from the VIP lounge that boosts HP. Hybrid mode would work a bit better, but then I have to remember to switch builds.

    For non-AORP chars, though, yeah, I expect most dog CCs have two passives or a LOT of experience...

    The other virtue of a defensive passive is that it's handy when being an off-tank in non-cosmic content such as TA or warzone OMs.
