TK or Force CC Build

Hey there!

I'm interested in making a telekinetic build in the CC role. I'm not super crazy about like TK Assault (or the TK Construct powerset I call it) but was interested in making a more natural telekinesis build (moving objects). How are the holds on TK to make a telekinetic character that only lifts objects?

    Uh, I guess you basically want Ego Hold as far as TK, unless you are fine w/ choking people too. Ofc, knocks are also technically CC, so you can supplement the few holds w/ knocks for trash. You also can't really make a viable TK build w/o using the constructs, so to speak, since they make up the bulk of the normal attacks for the set. Here's one example of a TK hybrid CC build for casual content:

    The open power slot can be w/e ya want (maybe TK Maelstrom for the AoE stun, though that's more like a construct power now). Could also play it in Support role if you want a better ally buffs and holds, though you aren't really a sub for a healer, and that role will lower your own dps. AoPM could ofc also work pretty well for an aura passive here.

    Since the holds here aren't stuns and thus break early to inc dmg, there's not as much point to getting more CC power, imo (outside of cosmics, which takes a more specialized build and playstyle than what TK can offer anyways). So, using a general ranged toggle/form like Conc can be easier overall for accommodating your normal attacks, and make it such that it doesn't take you as long to kill things.

    The build alternates between Ego Hold and/or Choke for CC and debuffs (Vuln, Wither, Trapped, Sent Mastery), and to help roll MSA. In between those times, you can use TK Burst as your main AoE/CC filler, and alternate between TK Strike and TK Lance for your main single-target rotation. Telekinesis (the power) isn't really needed for the build mechanically, though I included it for the theme (it can also help proc MSA, at least). Gears mostly for Int, w/ some Con and Pres.

    Oh, and I dunno if you'd be okay w/ it, or if it fits visually.. but if you wanted a different approach to the 'throwing solid objects around' thing that can also avoid some of the mental constructs, then you could use something like Earth for the normal attacks, and maybe just keep some TK stuff in there for the concept. Here's an example that mostly just subs the main TK attacks w/ Earth ones:
