This is what I've been using:

Silver Sentinel - Freeform (Any / Multiple)
    v3.41:33

    Super Stats
    Level 6: Ego (Primary)
    Level 10: Constitution (Secondary)
    Level 15: Recovery (Secondary)

    Talents
    Level 1:
    Level 6:
    Level 9:
    Level 12:
    Level 15:
    Level 18:
    Level 21:

    Powers
    Level 1: Gunslinger
Level 1: Holdout Shot (Stim Pack)
    Level 6: Killer Instinct
    Level 8: Concentration
Level 11: Frag Grenade (Cuts and Scrapes, Open Wound)
    Level 14: Two-Gun Mojo (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 17: Bullet Hail (Rank 2, Wall of Bullets)
Level 20: Lead Tempest (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 23: Lock N Load
    Level 26: Indestructible
Level 29: Endorphin Rush (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 32: Targeting Computer (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 35: Bullet Ballet (Rank 2, Not Without Incident)
    Level 38: Antagonize (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Adv. Points: 35/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6:
    Level 35:

    Specializations
    Ego: Force of Will (2/2)
    Ego: Insight (3/3)
    Ego: Follow Through (2/3)
    Ego: Sixth Sense (3/3)
    Guardian: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Guardian: Ruthless (2/2)
    Guardian: Find the Mark (2/3)
    Guardian: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
Vindicator: The Rush of Battle (2/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3)
    Mastery: Ego Mastery (1/1)

    Devices

You might be able to pull more DPS out of it with DEX primary but I consistently come in the top five on the scoreboard at cosmics.

Yea, Pistol Muni is pretty easy to play and build around, and that build above looks pretty good overall. If playing at ranged, then you don't strictly need Bullet Ballet, though, and could free up that slot. Lead Tempest and Bullet Hail are also a bit redundant, though I could see the utility in having the latter for the dmg shield and the former for easy, wide pbAoE. Taking Dex as a SSS can also bump up the optimal dps a bit, assuming you're okay on energy when dropping Rec SS, or okay w/ dropping Con SS.

Talents or specializations? Talents are pretty straightforward I think, so I didn’t bother to include them.

The two AoEs are for the reason Flow suggested. Bullet Hail with advantage gives you a shield for when you want to play more defensively, but the cone isn’t as useful as the wide sphere of Lead Tempest. You really don’t need bullet ballet, I just like it.
