Fire Heal/DPS build

in Builds and Roles
Trying to adapt one of Kamo's builds for a fire healer who can also do some damage. Heat Wave is to proc SM. Which is more broadly useful if I only have 1: Iniquity or Arcane Vitality?

    R3 Iniquity is nice for long-range, high-hps healing, and you do have Absorb Heat, Sentinel specs, and a healing rune for some extra AoE healing (could also keep R3 as the last thing trained if you want to get Justice instead, for w/e reason). The build is okay, though procing Sent Mastery will be a bit limited by Heat Wave's cd. Could also consider a build using Hearth and Smoldering + Rec; Fire has a few interesting options to build around Support now.

    Kamo's Fire/DPS build (below) had SM, though I'm not sure why. It doesn't seem to have a way to proc it, though maybe I am missing something? Going in-set the only possibilities seem to be Heat Wave, Flame Prison (even longer CD), Fire Breath (requires full maintain). I could go out of set but ....

    I'll play around with Hearth (Seraphim for Fire), but a form (Smoldering) based on Rec, when the Rec tree has nothing to help healing, doesn't seem that useful. Is the idea to take Pre as PSS but stack lots of Rec?

    I dunno, Sent Mastery's inclusion there may have been done as a force of habit in copying and re-editing builds for one role (unless there's devices that could proc it as well).

    If you took Hearth, then its Pres-scaling aura isn't as important as the others, so the Rec focus won't impact it as much as it would w/ AoPM. For sure you still need a Pres focus on any build that wants to bring a strong aura, but I would still prob take Pres PSS when using something like Smoldering, yea. Pres PSS's Selfless Ally w/ Iniquity is nice, as is the innate heal boost, as are the 2ndary SS scaling options (as is Vuln if you're making a hold build). But that's more if you're just wanting to try something different, as obv the Compassion + AoPM + Pres setup is potent in of itself (even if pretty standard).

    Stack Recovery. Color TK Maelstrom orange for lava rocks. Or replace it with something else that has Restoration advantage, it's strong on healers.​​

    Nova Flare?

    Is Warmth any good? I thought it was not that useful?

    Warmth is what the build uses when it needs to pour on healing to keep someone alive as they're taking constant heavy damage ( grond puddles mainly ). Nova Flair is great for when you're dpsing - just tap it when it comes off cooldown and most of the time it will put out enough healing that you can just spend the rest of your rotation dpsing.

    Yes you could just make Iniquity healer #69,245 in case that was going to be a question o3o​​

    Ah. Okay. Could you say which devices you are using? Are they off CD enough to keep SM going much of the time?

    Nova Flare doesn't work on the user, right? It still only has a 5' range, right? So really only useful in the Kiga and Dino melee mosh pits?
