Besides the GUN attacks, I was thinking POZ for slight heal and the knockdown, Sigils for drop and forget extra damage, and Vortex for bit of support and damage.

With wanting to be a PDSer any suggestions for changes in the MAGE part of gunMAGE?

Replace Burst Shot with Bullet Hail?

Would Night Warrior reduce activation time be worth replacing AoED?

Anything else?

Bullet Ballet won't proc Chilled Form. You may want to take FotT if you plan on using that attack heavily. Else, maybe consider making it a proper ranged build w/ TGM instead. The main diff between AoED and NW is that the latter is a proper offensive passive that lets you use a dps role, whereas I assume you'd be using AoED as a hybrid (though you prob wouldn't want to bring a weak hybrid aura to most end-game content).

Here's an example of a ranged dps build for Muni + some Sorc:

    Super Stats
    Level 6: Ego (Primary)
    Level 10: Recovery (Secondary)

    Talents
    Level 1: The Gunslinger (Dex: 10, Con: 10, Ego: 8, Rec: 10)
    Level 6: Ascetic (Con: 5, Ego: 5)
Level 9: Quick Recovery (Con: 5, Rec: 5)

    Level 18: Daredevil (Ego: 5, End: 5)
Level 21: Amazing Stamina (Rec: 5, End: 5)

    Powers
    Level 1: Gunslinger
Level 1: Burst Shot (Off Your Feet)
    Level 6: Concentration
Level 8: Night Warrior (Rank 2, Rank 3, Silent Running)
    Level 11: Killer Instinct
Level 14: Bullet Hail (Rank 2, Wall of Bullets)
    Level 17: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 20: Two-Gun Mojo (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 23: Hex of Suffering (Rank 2, Rune of Lethargy)
    Level 26: Resurgence (Rank 2)
Level 29: Pillar of Poz (Rank 2, Dilemma)
Level 32: Eldritch Shield (Rank 2)
    Level 35: Lock N Load (Rank 2)
    Level 38: Fiery Embrace
    Adv. Points: 34/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6:
    Level 35:

    Specializations
    Ego: Force of Will (2/2)
    Ego: Insight (3/3)
    Ego: Follow Through (3/3)
    Ego: Sixth Sense (2/3)
    Guardian: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Guardian: Ruthless (2/2)
    Guardian: Find the Mark (3/3)
    Guardian: The Best Defense (2/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (2/3)
    Mastery: Ego Mastery (1/1)

Burst Shot can debuff and CC. Bullet Hail can be used for AoE and defense w/ its dmg shield. Hex can be thrown in for theme and some extra dmg, while Pillar can AoE and/or heal you a bit. TGM is the main single-target attack. Gears mostly for Ego, w/ some Con and Rec.

How much damage would I loose with the Bullet Ballet and Sigil combo compared with the above. I have not used my above build, but wonder if setting up sigils and using Bullet Ballet when getting mobbed would be a fun and doable combo? or the damage / game mechanic of the combo would not help.

You can make a BB build instead, but you'd want to change the structure since it'd be mainly a melee build then. BB can be good dps for melee, but TGM can do well for ranged too. Either approach can work out, so the playstyle to settle on is just up to you:

LT is for more wide AoE, while BB can AoE up-close w/ its special adv. Burst Shot taps are to put up Furious and Armor Piercing for BB, while sigils and pillar can add some dmg/utility and Sorc flavor. Gears mostly for Dex, w/ some Con and Rec.

Is Mystic Transference for the Secondary advantages? Have only the one Sigil Power.

I can swap Lead Tempest and Bullet Ballet.

MT adv is mainly to make the power more mobile, able to proc the self-heal more frequently, and reduce the upfront cost. You can go w/o the MT adv if you prefer, though, as you will get more sigils (and potential dps) from it per cast then.

I'm not sure what you mean by swapping LT and BB. If its for your build, then you'd lack a good single-target attack. I'd just model it after either of my builds, depending on which style (BB and melee vs. TGM and ranged) you're after.

My bad. I was focused too much on the BB/Sigil combo I did not see it would take from the DPS. Especially since all the other powers are ranged. I will save BB for my builds that have a few more melee powers mixed in.

As I said at the start I want to be able to do event, Alerts (including Save the Earth) and possible lairs/Cosmic if the mood hits me. and not suck.

The sigils could still be a dps boost even for a melee build, but they also have their own properties that you'd have to contend with (cd, immobile, can be destroyed, etc). As far as content, if you ever want more survival w/o much extra work, you can always play in the Hybrid role w/ R3 Invuln as the passive. That'll considerably lower your base dps, but its up to you what you want to focus the build more on, as theirs upsides and downsides either way.

I fianly got the character to level 40. and necroing my own thread.

Using Bullet Hail for AoE and 2 Gun Mojo for Single target.
Grasping shadow adds fear and can hold multiple target while healing a bit It also add damage when using Bullet Hail with Boogy man advantage. Summon shadows for a click and ignore to do damage and heal and POZ for the heck of it.

Forgot to edit Brawler out for Vindicator or other (any suggestions)
  • flowcytoflowcyto Posts: 12,740 Arc User
Looks pretty good for the theme (assuming you use the Ranged dps role, and get Guardian, Vindicator, and/or Avenger for the specs). LNL prob won't help as much since you already get Furious from your main attacks, though it's not like the other AOs are a big improvement either.. You could also get Force of Will in Ego PSS for a bit more defense, and/or consider getting Bullet Hail's shield adv (obv quite lower dps then, but the dmg shield is quite strong defensively), bu that's up to you.
