Pet Build

Many years ago, I created a pet master character based on a build by KenpoJuJitsu. I'd like to try playing that character again, but that build hasn't been updated since 2013 and I haven't kept up on changes affecting pet master builds. Would this build still be viable today?

    Pet builds still aren't really welcome in high-end content, but if you plan on doing more casual stuff, then they're fine.

    That build lacks a toggle/form, and seems to be more of a healer. I may re-tune it to make it more versatile w/ AoPM, and keep a Sorcery focus; for example:

    (if leveling w/ it, can get Eld Blast early on, and then re-train out of it latter at the PH)

    Has a compact but sufficient Sorcery dps toolkit (Wisp on cd for debuffs, Skarn's for AoE, Soul Beam for single target). Can heal yourself, pets, or allies a bit w/ Arcane Vit- if needed. AoPM should allow you to be pretty well rounded (for a pet build). Gears mostly for Pres and Con, w/ some Int.

    Pet AI is pretty bad; they can hit things not meant to be hit, and that can mess up some fight mechanics. That, and they further crowd melee in large groups, eat up aura slots, and can die to AoE pretty easily. Pet builds can be fine in small-group or solo content, but I generally wouldn't bring them to large-scale content.

    How about this?
    I fixed my own pet build and tested in some Cosmic fight several times.
    No trouble so far as long as long as I'm not using [Teleiosaurus Pheromones].

    Well, as long as you aren't running into issues w/ the pets yet.. its alright for an AoED Support pet build, though lacking an ally res. Also lacks an EU, though I suppose in Support role you aren't having many energy issues. The build can still be of decent use just by providing AoED, Sent Aura, some debuffs, and AoE Lifedrain heals.
