Backup! Devices. Where to locate those?

I really like the Backup! devices and am curious to know where to find those. Are they dropped, or purchased by tokens of some form?

Or are they in a loot box? Please don't tell me they're in a loot box.

    Which specific device? Henchmen and sidekicks have a wide variety of sources. Or do you mean the things specifically named "Backup!"? I think those are Anniversary specific.

    They drop from the mega d OM near the end of the anniversary; you can also buy them during that event for favor. There's a bunch of them on the AH leftover still for super cheap.

    I found a couple of permanent ones I really liked, thank you! It's too bad they're anniversary, guess I'll have to see if a couple more of the permanent ones are still up.

    I am now a lot poorer with the full Champions team on my side, whee! I dunno, I just love things like these.

    Check the Recognition Store in-game.

    There are a number of devices that provide support NPCs for purchase there. No specific heroes mind you, but still useful nonetheless.

    Sure would be nice to have some 'good guy' ones though (see link in signature below).
