Free Form Power Armor DPS build - did anyone try doing this?

dogmaticusdogmaticus Posts: 20 Arc User
Basically as said in the topic :). I've returned after a long time away, and started with a new DPS toon, but I'm thinking of a power-armor character, that will be focused on DPS rather than tanking. So I thought that maybe someone has an advice or a build that I could try out? As I've been away for a long time I just want to avoid completely wrong choices :D.

Also - that's why I started with one of the DPS classes to re-learn the ropes before I jump into free form.

Thanks for any help (even if it will end up with someone posting me how to google ;) )

Slotted PA is capable of extremely high ranged dps, but using 3 attack toggles at once is also extremely energy intensive. CoAP in Sorcery helps a good deal, though, and you can still do decent dps running 2 attack toggles at once otherwise. You have a few options for each PA slot, but here's a pretty standard PA dps setup:

If you want even more help w/ energy, you could swap Con SS for Rec SS (CoAP's energy scales w/ Rec and rank). Or go w/ more of a glass cannon route w/ Dex SS over Con SS, assuming energy is fine.

Ideally, you want all 3 attack toggles running on bosses, but Micro Muni is prob your best AoE attack here for its AoE sphere, followed by Minigun's small cylinder AoE. You can also split your toggles between diff targets, if desired, and Recon Circuits can take up the Chest slot if you want some extra healing. Can also take adv of the long range of each toggle, and the ability to move around when using them. Gears mostly for Ego, w/ some End/Rec for energy and Con for maxHP.

I'll just toss in that once you have good energy cost discounts and take End and Rec as SSS (Ego PSS), you can get by without CoAP if you find it theme breaking.
