Now for a circusish theme! :3

Hello again!

So, thanks to the advice and comments I got on my previous post (for a plant themed buld), I managed to make a fun and functioning build (it's not perfect, due to my stubborness, clearly on my own it would have been a total failure, so thanks :3)

Now, for my second attempt at build making, I'm aiming for a clown/circus-ish theme.
At first I was focusing on gadgets with MA or HW Powers, but with time I ended up with another concept.
It's kind of pantomime powers plus some things for added flavor.

I really hope I made a better job now, my previous build (the plant theme) was pretty bad xD

Build here

Here is my reasoning :P in case it helps to show what I'm going for:

1 Ego Blade (pantomime theme)
1 Ego Weaponry (pantomime theme, should I get Siphoning Strikes?)
6 Telekinetic Reverberation
8 Decimate (mallet for theme)
11 Way of the Warrior
14 Fire Breath (it fits so well with the theme xD)
17 Force Shield (pantomime theme)
20 Laughing Zephyr (acrobatic for theme)
23 Mental Discipline
26 Ego Blade Annihilation (pantomime theme)
29 Bountiful Chi Resurgence
32 Masterful Dodge
35 Annihilate (mallet for theme)
38 Ricochet Throw (for theme…. sort of)

What do you guys think?

Thanks in advance!

If using attacks from many diff sets, you may want to use a toggle like FotT (scales w/ Dex) and a more universal EU like MSA (or one w/ a simple proc like Thermal Reverb + an easy Clinging Flames apply). Its also generally a waste to give normal ranks to lunges (unless you want to boost their CC component). I also usually wouldn't play in the Hybrid role w/ a dps passive; maybe get a support passive in Hybrid for solo play (like AoPM or AoED), or use one of the dps roles (prob Melee's here). Its also generally a waste to rank Masterful Dodge (if takign it), since you get well over 100% dodge w/ it at R1. I'd also pass on the dodge/avoid options in Dex PSS, as they are a bit weak and Dex PSS's main draws are Deadly Aim and Expose Weakness for dps.

Here's a restructuring of it that keeps most of the powers intact for the concept:

I chose to make Laughing Zephyr a threat wipe; you you don't have to give it that functionality if you don't want to. Night Warrior's Sneak is good when paired w/ charged Ricochet Throw, so you can have a hard-hitting AoE stealth opener that's good against trash. I made the main HW/mallet attack Eruption here, since its a nice cd attack that can easily put up Clinging Flames (CF) w/ its adv. Firebreath can work from ranged as a wide AoE that can also apply CF. Could also consider getting the Char adv on Firebreath for some AoE CC, though you'd have to axe another adv_rank for it and fully maintain it for the CC.

The main close-up rotation here is to use Eruption for applying and refreshing CF, and alternate between Ego Weaponry and charged EBA otherwise. This build gears mostly for Dex, w/ some End & Rec for energy (and maybe some Con for more maxHP).

Whether you want to take Siphoning Strikes on the TK blade combo is up to you. It can be good self-healing, but it does cut into its base dps considerably (you'd have to make up for it w/ other attacks like EBA).

    Oooooh I like this, thanks!
I'm learning much with your corrections and advice :3

And yeah, I meant to put it on melee damage role, don't know why I didn't...my bad :x

I'm not sure about Night Warrior though, a sneaking/invisible clown seems weird to me.. altough it could add to the WTF factor xD
Or I could make a pure mime now instead, and a prop based clown later~

    Mmm… decisions decisions…

Any chance you have a recomendation on gadgeteering powers for such a theme? I will probably mix it up with something else for flavor :P

(Can't believe I took so long to play with this theme, considering I'm actually starting the path of the clown myself xP )

    Thanks again!

Yea, the Sneak via NW is mainly just to get the most out of Ricochet Throw and its stealth bonuses, though if its too weird for the concept then you don't have to use Sneak either. NW is still a good dps passive since it buffs all dmg types anyways.

Anyways, I assume that you'd want to make a Gadgets-based version a ranged dps build:

Main attacks here are Exp Blaster for single target and Sonic Boom Gen for AoE, though you can throw in other things to proc MSA and for the theme. Attack Toys seemed fitting for the concept, though pets aren't good in some content (and you can always not summon them then). Gears mostly for Int, w/ some Con and Dex.
