Does champions get "expansions" like sto?

Just wanting to know if champions online get expansions like sto does? If there is anyone that can comment, the commentary would be appreciated. If champions does get expansions, how are the in line as far as content small, medium or larger than sto Thank you.

    I can't speak with certainty since I don't touch STO, but most monthlyish updates to this game are powerset rebalances, addition of rewards to events, cycling to different events, and bug fixing.

    New content, in the form of new fights or new missions, are extremely seldom.

    CO gets much smaller but more frequent updates. Generally less stuff per month though.

    Nothing that, like STO, involves level-cap increases; I was tempted to say no new areas either, then I recalled our occasional visits to an unspecified area somewhere in Africa in one of the Comic Series.

    On the other tentacle, CO doesn't have the staff or funding that STO does either. (In fact, one of STO's chief environment designers, Tacofangs, used to be our own Tumerboy.) If the staffing was there, the ideas for new regions are already baked into Champions lore - the hidden land of Thaar, for instance, or the home of the mysterious Empyrians. Or, for that matter, some of the off-Earth regions that have been mentioned, like the outpost orbiting Jupiter that serves as an embassy for the Star*Guard.

    We mostly get additions to things that are already here. For a while now the devs have been focusing very heavily on the temporary events that roll around every now and then. In the past when they've done little things for a long time like this it's been because they were working on a big thing in the background.​​

    In fact what appears to happen is that CO is the on The Job Training park for devs who get moved to other projects once they cut their teeth a bit and the never darken out door again.

    I was talking about the current team, which as far as we know has never been pulled away to another game. Also we've been straight told the current devs aren't going anywhere.​​
