  When you think about it, they make a lot more sense for combat than back wings. Like imagine someone is grabbing you by the hips, and holding you up in the air, you'd be good and steady and able to aim attacks n stuff because you could do a "rock your hips" motion to account for the motion of the wings. Now picture someone holding you by a handle on your upper back, they're basically just shaking your head all over and there's no way you could aim good or really even know wtf is going on. Back wings are only good for strafing runs, but we don't do strafing runs in this game.
