Need help with two builds

granitritegranitrite Posts: 38 Arc User
One build is a poison might tank the other is a heavy weapon lightning DSP. Just FYI I'm not good at making builds in CHO but these are for RP characters

I was thinking about changing the HW lightning DPS to a HW wind dps if wind has more srun powers, as of right now I can't check if that's the case though

I'm not sure what you mean by 'RP character'- as there's many ways to RP, and I'm not clear on what you want to do in terms of pve content.

Anyways, its not easy to combine Infernal SN's poisons and Might in a practical sense. Some of the chain powers tend to have the best synergy due to knocks. It may not be as thematic as you want, but just as an example:

    https://aesica.net/co/herocreator.htm?v=29&n=&d=11380WdAQFPE000000O000O50bOE00JA00JE04JG0LK503O40OON01JD00JK0JJC039K042Q0010gC3T3B0tak

    Level 32: Retaliation (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 35: Unbreakable (Better You Than Me)
    Level 38: Fiery Embrace (advantages)
    Adv. Points: 33/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6:
    Level 35:

    Specializations
    Strength: Swole (3/3)
    Strength: Physical Peak (2/3)
    Strength: Brutality (2/2)
    Strength: Juggernaut (3/3)
    Warden: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Warden: Ruthless (2/2)
    Warden: Elusive (2/2)
    Warden: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Protector: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Protector: Bulwark (2/2)
    Protector: Debilitating Challenge (2/2)
    Protector: Defensive Expertise (3/3)
    Mastery: Protector Mastery (1/1)

Vicious Cyclone is the main AoE that also pulls in enemies. Its not great for dps, but its good for tagging and some AoE CC. Demolish can debuff and finish off tougher trash, while charged Haymaker is your boss killer. Also uses Vile Lariat to proc a self-heal and deadly poison in the background when using Demolish and/or Haymaker.

Early on, you'll have to train a tier0 power (like Beatdown or Infernal Blast) when leveling, but you can always retrain in the PH at latter levels into the build proper, as it doesn't take much resources then. Gears mostly for Con and Str, w/ some End and Rec for energy.

I can make you a build that doesn't rely on chain powers too, though its not as efficient:

    Level 6: Acrobat (Dex: 5, Con: 5)

    Level 18: Impresario (Dex: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 21: Amazing Stamina (Rec: 5, End: 5)

    Powers
    Level 1: Infernal Bolts (advantages)
Level 1: Venomous Breath (Rank 2, Paralytic Bile, Challenge!)
    Level 6: Mephitic
    Level 8: Invulnerability (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 11: Form of the Tempest (advantages)
Level 14: Defensive Combo (Rank 2, Rank 3, Challenge!)

Level 20: Infernal Blast (Rank 2, Rank 3, Challenge!)

    Level 29: Retaliation (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 32: Mighty Leap (advantages)
    Level 35: Masterful Dodge (advantages)
    Level 38: Fiery Embrace (advantages)
    Adv. Points: 33/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6:
    Level 35:

    Specializations
    Constitution: Unyielding (1/2)
    Constitution: Fuel My Fire (3/3)
    Constitution: Resilient (2/2)
    Constitution: Adrenaline Rush (2/2)
    Constitution: Armored (2/2)
    Avenger: Ruthless (2/2)
    Avenger: Round 'em Up (3/3)
    Avenger: Relentless Assault (3/3)
    Avenger: Preemptive Strike (2/3)
    Protector: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Protector: Bulwark (2/2)
    Protector: Debilitating Challenge (2/2)
    Protector: Defensive Expertise (3/3)
    Mastery: Avenger Mastery (1/1)

The Wisp can be used for general debuffing here in most cases (can also help proc Mephitic). Venom Breath is the main AoE here. Up-close and for bosses, you can use Defense Combo until Avenger Mastery procs and then quickly charge Infernal Blast. The Mastery isn't available till max level, though, so before then you'll just have a more simplified playstyle.

The build's sustained dps will be low, but due to Defense Combo it can still build threat pretty well, and has some decent AoE CC and debuffing potential. Gears mostly for Con and Dex, w/ some End and Rec for energy.

Lastly, here's a HW + Elec dps build:

    https://aesica.net/co/herocreator.htm?v=29&n=&d=11830WAQFPEa0000001000H109H804JB031500K5031D051A001305ON0119011E03JJ011L002jN83SXU42ct

Level 6: Physical Conditioning (Str: 5, Con: 5)
Level 9: Boundless Reserves (Con: 5, End: 5)
    Level 12: Bodybuilder (Str: 5, End: 5)
Level 15: Quick Recovery (Con: 5, Rec: 5)
    Level 18: Relentless (Str: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 21: Amazing Stamina (Rec: 5, End: 5)

    Powers
    Level 1: Electric Bolt (advantages)
Level 1: Cleave (Rank 2, Rampant)
    Level 6: Enrage (Endorphin Rush)
    Level 8: Unstoppable (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 11: Lightning Strike (advantages)
    Level 14: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 17: Ball Lightning (Rank 2, Triplicity)
    Level 20: Ionic Reverberation
Level 23: Sparkstorm (Rank 2, Electric Personality)
    Level 26: Resurgence (Rank 2)
Level 29: Electric Shield (Rank 2)
Level 32: Electrical Siphon (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 35: Aggressor (Rank 2)
    Level 38: Thundering Return (advantages)
    Adv. Points: 33/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6:
    Level 35:

    Specializations
    Strength: Swole (2/3)
    Strength: Physical Peak (3/3)
    Strength: Brutality (2/2)
    Strength: Juggernaut (1/3)
    Strength: Overpower (2/3)
    Warden: Fortified Gear (2/3)
    Warden: Slaughter (3/3)
    Warden: Ruthless (2/2)
    Warden: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Offensive Expertise (2/2)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (3/3)
    Mastery: Warden Mastery (1/1)

Uses Cleave as its main attack, but supplements it w/ Ball Lit used on cd, and Sparkstorm toggles thrown in on-top of that. You should be a walking, cleaving ball of static energy once it gets rolling. If managing Sparkstorm is getting annoying then you can do fine w/ just Cleave and Ball Lit. Can use Conviction and Elec Siphon for some extra healing. Gears mostly for Str, w/ some Con and End + Rec for energy.

I'll have to play around with the first on but by looking at it, it looks perfect, the tank is a street brawler with poison powers so the chains are a good fit.

When I say RP character in the sense of builds I mean that I may have to do PVP or PVE depending on what I am participating in, if possible I would like to switch between PVP and PVE builds without trottinalong to the power House

Well, I'm not a pvp'er, so I can't help ya too much there, but you'd have to make a bit of compromise if you want some pvp-centric advs (like NttG or Break Through) and powers, but not switch anything for pve. Up to you if its even worth it, since CO is more focused on pve content atm.
