Patching Issues 3/8/2018 (Resolved)

We are aware that some players are experiencing issues patching, the cause is currently being investigated. I'll update this thread when we have more information on the matter.


Edit2: Marking this as resolved. If you're still having issues patching, please provide the readout as requested below.

Edit1: A request to those who are having issues patching: Please open up your launcher shortcut and add -console to the target line.

A console window will pop up when you open your launcher. While you're trying to patch, please copy anything where the launcher is failing to get your request, it'll help us pin down the issue.​​

    Kinda hard to patch when the game says it's on maintenance.

    I changed the patch server to the US proxy like others suggested and patched just fine. It stuck at 1% otherwise.

    It also says the server was down but I was able to log in ok too.
    Current Roster:

    Frostbiter (Freeform Ice DPS)
    Battle Hazard (Unleashed AT)
    Glacial Tyrant (Glacier AT)
    Silver Mantra ( Freeform Single Blade DPS)
    Magnetros (Freeform Heavy Weapons/Lightning Hybrid)

    ya i can agree, did the same just now and relaunched and it got 43% in a few seconds

    Yup switching to us patching proxy fixed it for me to!!

    Servers are too crowded, I cannot get in!!!! JK. I have not been able to patch the test server at all since last night. Live server was stuck at 0%, but now slowly moving, actually,, it stopped at 10% as I was typing this.

    Would rather play around with this patching issue than play around with DCUO anyway. So patching it is.

    Was getting nowhere until I switched to the US proxy, then it completed in 10 seconds.

    PTS was having same issue before it was live....you’d think that would be a warning

    PTS was having the same issue patching last night. An SG mate and I both took about 30 mins - 1 hour to complete the patch

    It's under Options->Patching on the launcher.

    Switching can get you in the Live servers, but not the PTS from my experience. Wanted to test a build for two days now lol, to no avail.

    To bad I did not see what Kai requested, instead I just switched to the proxy server. Hopefully what was posted above will help though.

    So I just fired up Live (already patched), and then hit PTS to patch that. I only had a tiny patch (10MB or so of actual download), so it may not say much. Also, I'm using the US Proxy right now:

    Ok well not sure why the thread is marked as resolved. The patch hung out at around 4% for about 5 mins. I was about to give up and use the proxy and then suddenly it was finished.

    So to be sure I removed a hogg file, and after waiting 5 minutes the download did actually start and let me play the game. The console output was the same as above with the exception of the last part.

    I'm not 100% this is connected, but it says "Patching 1 file, 0 bytes/sec" and locks up whenever I travel from one instance to another. It happens consistently when I travel from the Training Area to the main Powerhouse floor, and it just happened again after I hit Recover after getting taken out by an Onslaught villain.

    Instances were locking up while patching (on demand). Per in game advice, switched to proxy US, disabled patch-on-demand, and selected verify all files to force a full patch, and I was able to access the instances.

    This. I had these issues and I changed to US proxy right away when I read that fixed it. I don't see why people are not taking this advice. Just switch to US proxy and stuff works. You all need more vitamin D in your diet.

    The issue is most definetly not resolved. The “on demand” patching seems to be problematic and just stops downloading and doesn’t seem to kick back up. I turned it off for now and am patching everything up front at the moment. Thought you should be aware Incase you really believed patching was fixed.

    Up front patching has stopped at 99% with 2MB left and sat there for about 5 minutes then finally grabbed the last of it and finished.

    nope still not working.
    1. I had to create the shortcut file. I don't use ARC.
    2. I can't send the report.
    it flicks open the console box, then a full screen black screen, then crashes and the box is visible long enough for the cryptic error report box to show then vanishes

    Patching is not working for me. Changing proxy has no effect; the patch hangs on 3%. I've been trying to patch the game for days now with no luck, no success. Is this Cryptic's way of reducing the playerbase enough to justify shutting down the servers?

    Edit: And it never fails, that once I post a complaint in the forums, the VERY NEXT ATTEMPT works. Situation resolved after three days -_-
