Is there any way to go FF and amp up "The Impulse" AT?

Keeping the same flavor, love the "blaster" feel, I'd like something a bit tougher, maybe its the talents and spec I took, but seemed pretty meh to me. something mainly dps-y. I'd use him mostly for Alerts

    Do you want to try to heavily use Force Cascade or not? Force Blast isn't great base dps, though w/ 1-2 Crushing debuffs from another set + its knock-immune bonus it can do okay (and is much easier on energy).

    TK Burst is there just to have a non-KB and cheaper AoE option to FC (plus its kinda Force-like, esp if you can re-color it). Uses the blast when energy is low, and FC when energy is high. Geyser and/or Conviction can help roll MSA. Its not as sturdy as other dps builds can be, but it does have innate CC by knocking trash mobs silly (regardless of whether that's annoying or not). Gears mostly for Int, w/ some Rec and End for help w/ energy.
