'Ruiner' Specialist

Trying to make a decent specialist build for my 'Ruiner' inspired character maybe implementing kinetic manipulation and bleed. I'd really like to be able to play him beyond thematically/roleplaying so if the single blade + munitions combo has weak synergy then I'm fine sticking with just a pure munitions build - any help appreciated!

    I absolutely love RUINER, even made a costume ingame to try and recreate him. The problem with pistols is there aren't many single pistol powers, and RUINER never uses two (at least not yet). I may try and get you a more accurate build, in the meantime I'd love to see your costume for the character!

    PS: To what extent do you care about PVE strength over thematic accuracy, ie Eye of the Storm might be a good AoE (just an example) but it wouldn't be true to the character, since it uses two blades and he never does? Secondly, a HW power or two might be good to represent the two handed weapons ingame, but would you still want them if it/they weren't the best fit for the build?

    yea I haven't played the game, but CO doesn't have much in the way of single pistol stuff (unless you like futuristic sci-fi).

    Here's something I threw together, not the most practical build, but it should be survivable in basic content, and includes RUINER gun, crowbar/Nerve, two-handed weapons, and heavy gun powers. Hopefully you can powerhue, and make the Force Shield red. A big part of the close-ness to RUINER will come from costume and weapon skins. I'd say Energy Pistol 5 (the new pistol skin with hand guard) for pistol, Resistance Nightstick or Sakura Mecha Sword (either the crowbar or Nerve) for single blade, Heavy Hooked Sword, Hyper Blade, or Heavy Mecha Sword for Heavy Weapons (could be more), and the Gravity Disruptor whatever (the gatling gun unlock from the Z-Store ranged weapons pack) for gatling gun, to mimic Lancer or Vulcan.

    Thanks for the replies guys :) that's a great build flowcyto with the SB/pistol combo, although the only problem is the focus is on the sword, I was hoping to try and squeez it into the build for more thematic purposes rather than making it the main tree.

    I'd like to stick as close as possible to theme without having a completely redudant build for actually playing with :P I actually used the EoTS when I was leveling for the shield but swapped it out for the submachine gun seeing as they added the wall of bullets advantage onto that as well. Preferably the class will be without any dual blades powers because it really doesn't fit with the character. I'm all for heavy weapons for replicating the two handed in-game ones!

    RE your build - it's actually pretty good, I was surprised because of the amount and diversity of powers, it held up pretty well with only a few energy issues. A few changes I would make would be to swap out the gattling gun for the aformentioned submachine gun because without an energy unlock that works with it, GG is too energy intensive to run properly and also there aren't any good costumes that fit the theme. I'd take the Energy shield over the force one due to its visual likeness to the one in Ruiner. I feel like the annihilate is a bit pointless seeing as there is already reapers embrace in the build. Love the usage of earth form - would never have thought to use that one :D
