What is up with the bad animation in the Apocalypse team up missions?

During the apocalypse missions in Vibora bay when you have two of the Champions with you why do they have those goofy, awful animations? There are other missions where you have a Champion with you and they have "normal" animation. It bothers me a lot, but I don't know why. I guess because they look so silly.

    It's the end of the world, and the Champions are taking this last chance to molest your character? (See the Amusing pictures thread)

    But yes, why the Dorky Duo is locked in a running animation towards your character at all times is a question we've been asking for years.

    i find running ahead and getting them jammed in a doorway works to stop them interfering.

    have you had the final nemesis daily missions where;
    witchcraft falls into lava rather than walk along the path
    ironclad forgets how to use a doorway and keeps trying to go through a wall.
    defender gets arrested for assault due to sticking too close.
    sapphire keeps knocking mobs you're trying to attack out of range.
    all of them getting lost and telling me to wait up.

    Foxbat is my preferred option. he is the most competant for those missions

    You know how someone will do that walk after they almost fall down? Like the "I meant to do that" walk. That's what they're doing, trying to act like they meant to be slow and useless after I ran way ahead of them at like ten times their speed.

    i found myself using electric flight on a female character after defender kept sticking too close

    Back in the day there was a comment in a thread that stated that the positions of objects on the maps was shifting a little bit with each update. Some vector like X = 1242.0101 was changing by .003 or something every week. This was apparent in many places on the map just before the On Alert updates, villains were trapped in concrete in several places. I wonder if they ever fixed the seams at the curbs in the streets that you could see through. Non-Player Characters probably get confused by the weird changes in the map conflicting with their way points.

    I wish they would give Juryrig a floating pod/wheelchair because the lack of walk animation in the Alerts all these years is totally embarrassing like "Oh we don't have to finish this...whatever." Little tiny jet boots would work.
