Debuffer Build Wanted

Does anyone have a build that is 80-90% debuff based? I've seen healer builds with some debuff powers, but not a debuff heavy hero build. Any help is appreciated. I am hoping to be able to use it solo and with teams.

Based on my current one: the trees may be off, I'm at work, so not remembering properly. You end up being more of a front line debuffer with Poz, but you can keep Jinxed, Fear, Illuminated, Clinging Flames, and Disoriented up constantly, while weakening the enemy to poison, magic, crushing, and particle. Plus your heal is a non-aggro causing AoE, so the tanks you're stuck hangign out with are happy. And on criticals (enjoy the free Dexterity effects from AoPM & the Int tree), they lose MORE defense and MORE damage. Stat mostly for PRE and some Int.

The original build used Stone shot instead of Chest Beam for Stagger, but stacking Stagger with a Blast attack takes time you probably need for other things.

I've made both a Sorcery and a Infernal based debuffer build before. Both can be strong for debuffing. Here's the Infernal version:

    (Unnamed Build) - Freeform
    v2.3.1-25

    Super Stats
    Level 6: Presence (Primary)
    Level 10: Intelligence (Secondary)
    Level 15: Constitution (Secondary)

    Talents
    Level 1: The Witch (Con: 10, Int: 8, Pre: 10, Rec: 10)
Level 6: Healthy Mind (Con: 5, Int: 5)
Level 9: Shrug It Off (Con: 5, Pre: 5)
    Level 12: Diplomatic (Int: 5, Pre: 5)
Level 15: Quick Recovery (Con: 5, Rec: 5)
    Level 18: Negotiator (Int: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 21: Lasting Impression (Pre: 5, Rec: 5)

    Powers
    Level 1: Infernal Bolts
Level 1: Condemn (Rank 2, Redemption Denied)
    Level 6: Pestilence (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 8: Aspect of the Infernal
    Level 11: Molecular Self-Assembly
Level 14: Will-o'-the-Wisp (Guide, Ghost Fire)
    Level 17: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 20: Curse (Jinxed, Covet)
Level 23: Vile Lariat (Fester, Viral)
    Level 26: Resurgence (Rank 2)
Level 29: Voodoo Doll (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 32: Ascension (Judgment)
Level 35: Planar Fracture (Double Vortex)
    Level 38: Rebirth
    Adv. Points: 34/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6:
    Level 35:

    Specializations
    Presence: Repurpose (3/3)
    Presence: Dominion (2/2)
    Presence: Moment of Glory (2/3)
    Presence: Force of Will (1/2)
    Presence: Vulnerability (2/2)
    Sentinel: Torment (2/2)
    Sentinel: Sentinel Aura (3/3)
    Sentinel: Moment of Need (2/3)
    Sentinel: Wither (2/2)
    Sentinel: Genesis (1/2)
    Overseer: Administer (2/3)
    Overseer: Ruthless (2/2)
    Overseer: Impact (2/2)
    Overseer: Trapped (3/3)
    Overseer: Conservation (1/2)
    Mastery: Sentinel Mastery (1/1)

Personal dps won't be great, but you'll be helping ur teammates a good deal. Has many debuffs to spare- w/ Fear, Illumination, Fester, Wither, Vuln, Trapped, Sent Mastery, Jinx, Pestilence's debuff, and poisons. Is also fine for CC-ing Trash. Gears mostly for Int, w/ some Con and Pres.

Can also take a more support-oriented version w/ Compassion as the toggle and gearing more for Pres, and/or use Mephitic as the EU and take End as an SS.

No one has mentioned Miniaturization Drive yet. Ebon Sigils can be good, especially if you have AoAC to keep casting them.

Frankly, I ran out of power slots before I could get Mini Drive. I suppose I could drop the self-rez, but as a front line, secondary healer, that seems less than optimal.

Just wish there was a useful single target attack option with a debuff.

    Kinda like this:

    (Unnamed Build) - Freeform
    v2.3.2-25

    Super Stats
    Level 6: Intelligence (Primary)
    Level 10: Presence (Secondary)
    Level 15: Constitution (Secondary)

    Talents
    Level 1: The Witch (Con: 10, Int: 8, Pre: 10, Rec: 10)
Level 6: Healthy Mind (Con: 5, Int: 5)
Level 9: Shrug It Off (Con: 5, Pre: 5)
    Level 12: Diplomatic (Int: 5, Pre: 5)
    Level 15: Acrobat (Dex: 5, Con: 5)
    Level 18: Coordinated (Dex: 5, Int: 5)
    Level 21: Finesse (Dex: 5, Pre: 5)

    Powers
    Level 1: Eldritch Bolts
Level 1: Eldritch Blast (Blinding Light, Bad Luck)
Level 6: Aura of Primal Majesty (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 8: Conjuring
Level 11: Pillar of Poz (Dizzying Impact)
Level 14: Skarn's Bane (Rank 2, Chaos Magic)
    Level 17: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 20: Hex of Suffering (Rune of Dismay, Rune of Terror)
Level 23: Soul Beam (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 26: Sigils of Ebon Weakness (Rank 2, Mystic Transference)
    Level 29: Resurgence (Rank 2)
Level 32: Eldritch Shield (Rank 2)
Level 35: Crashing Incantation (Rank 2)
    Level 38: Rebirth
    Adv. Points: 35/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6:
    Level 35:

    Specializations
    Intelligence: Preparation (2/2)
    Intelligence: Enlightened (3/3)
    Intelligence: Detect Vulnerability (3/3)
    Intelligence: Expertise (2/2)
    Overseer: Administer (3/3)
    Overseer: Ruthless (2/2)
    Overseer: Impact (2/2)
    Overseer: Trapped (3/3)
    Avenger: Ruthless (2/2)
    Avenger: Round 'em Up (3/3)
    Avenger: Relentless Assault (3/3)
    Avenger: Preemptive Strike (2/3)
    Mastery: Avenger Mastery (1/1)

Has Jinx, Fear, Disorient, Impact, Trapped, Illum, sigils, and Overpower available (and Skarn's adv debuffs)- so its more about lowering dmg than boosting ally dmg, but still nice for that purpose alone.

Is there anything that can replace Crashing Incantation (that is as good?). I am a little behind on the P2W track.
  • flowcytoflowcyto Posts: 12,859 Arc User
well, Grav Driver and Mental Impact can also apply Overpower, if you value keeping that.

And for the helluvit, if you want a more offensive debuffer like my Infernal one, you can mix Celestial's Vengeance w/ Sorcery/Darkness, since its similar to Condemn in Infernal:

    (Unnamed Build) - Freeform
    v2.3.2-25

    Super Stats
    Level 6: Presence (Primary)
    Level 10: Intelligence (Secondary)
    Level 15: Constitution (Secondary)

    Talents
    Level 1: The Hero (Str: 8, Dex: 8, Con: 8, Int: 8, Ego: 8, Pre: 8, Rec: 6, End: 6)
Level 6: Healthy Mind (Con: 5, Int: 5)
Level 9: Shrug It Off (Con: 5, Pre: 5)
    Level 12: Diplomatic (Int: 5, Pre: 5)
Level 15: Quick Recovery (Con: 5, Rec: 5)
    Level 18: Negotiator (Int: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 21: Lasting Impression (Pre: 5, Rec: 5)

    Powers
    Level 1: Shadow Bolt
Level 1: Shadow Blast (Rank 2, Psychotic Break)
Level 6: Shadow Form (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 8: Manipulator
Level 11: Vengeance (Rank 2, Redemption Denied)
    Level 14: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 17: Molecular Self-Assembly
Level 20: Hex of Suffering (Rune of Lethargy, Rune of Terror)
Level 23: Soul Vortex (Rank 2, Soul Drain)
    Level 26: Resurgence (Rank 2)
Level 29: Eldritch Shield (Rank 2)
    Level 32: Lock N Load (Rank 2)
Level 35: Crashing Incantation (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 38: Rebirth
    Adv. Points: 34/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6:
    Level 35:

    Specializations
    Presence: Repurpose (3/3)
    Presence: Dominion (2/2)
    Presence: Moment of Glory (2/3)
    Presence: Force of Will (1/2)
    Presence: Vulnerability (2/2)
    Sentinel: Torment (2/2)
    Sentinel: Sentinel Aura (3/3)

    Overseer: Ruthless (2/2)
    Overseer: Impact (2/2)
    Overseer: Trapped (3/3)
    Mastery: Sentinel Mastery (1/1)

Gears mostly for Int, w/ some Con and Pres. Like the Infernal one, it can change its toggle and gear/SS setup too, depending on priorities.

Are not these also pay-for/gamble-for powers? But I get it... apply overpower... I can take my meager subscription-paying self and search up what available powers do that. Certainly there must be some.

You can also buy them in the AH. You don't have to get them via lockboxes..

  • i would not advise shopping for mental impact, though, as it hasn't been added to the collector store yet and is therefore insanely expensive on the AH

gravity driver and crashing incantation both are in the collector store, so both of them should be in the sub-100G price range
