Psionic Priest (Build Concept)

Hey Guys, I'm back again

So, I've been looking to build an unique "Psionic Priest" build, that will heavily focus on healing & debuffs/buffs. So powers that have HoT and strong debuffs on them will be nice. Here is the basic concept I have right now.

(Note: Its a set of random powers, yes, but its a example of the Advs/Powers I''ll use in the build)

Mostly a Mix of Telepathic/Telekinesis powers, Telek will deal the damage and have Inner Peace healing, while the Telepath will aim on the Debuffs/Healing. (Unsure what heal is "Best", I think Arcane Vitality at this point, due to its an AoE, but unsure whats stronger)

As well, I've been waiting to get a few Thames from XCOM 2 PSI ops powers, like I did before, I'll try to get Mind Control and an Stasis like power "Collective Will" or Nightmare for "spectral" like summons.

I've picked "Mind Break" as the 2nd power, as I want to try avoid useing the same step-up as I nomraly make "Ego Lash/Blast/Sprites"


I did try an Mystical thame but I can honestly not get any joy out of useing "Magical powers", so besides the Heal from that power set, I'll want to avoid them.

    TK Strike and TK Lance are ur main single target attacks, and TK Barrage ur main AoE. TP + Arcane Vit can help w/ heals and/or utility via temp pets or extra CC or debuffs (depending on what ya pick from it).
    Gears mostly for Dex, w/ some Con and Rec. Can also gear for a bit of bonus healing in primary offense gear since you'll have Dex Mastery's severity already, if you want ur heals to be a bit better.

    This is what I have so far, I'm enjoying this combo atm, but I may turn around in favor for Ego Lash & Mind Break, as I don't know if Inner Peace, heals others around me, not just myself. If anyone can confirm that, that be great.

    As well, I'll like to know, what power is better in terms of a group healing (Conviction or Illumination). With that being said I've noticed that "Mind Break" is quite strong, but it also removes the buffs from say Mental Leech, in terms of DPS thats not so bad. But will like to kown how powerful it can be.

    If you can give me more tips regrading such, I can make my choice between the 2

    If you want group healing, then Arcane Vit is good enough. Illumination would be more for Celestial builds using Conduit and/or Ascension, and Conviction is good but is mostly for self-healing. I'd get a form/toggle (Mental Precision works easiest w/ TK Strike), and prob at least one AD. I'd avoid Mind Break since its base dps is low, and it can consume useful debuffs on ur target. I would also get a spamable AoE, like TK Barrage.

    I had the feeling Mind Break whuold be low DPS on its own. I';ll play around with the TK set a bit more but need to ask a qeastion, besides the normal Psi-Lash/Blast combo is there another one I can go for?

    Dot/Debuffs/Buffs are more ideal, DPS is only a minor thing, but still needed so I can still kill



    Alright, so the Psi-Lash with other powers are quite the pain to handle, even more so with Mind Break being so weak in DPS, so I;ll play around with the TK start up powers first.

    Yea, atm TP doesn't really have much potential for great dps w/o going out-of-set. Hopefully that can be changed soon.

  • If you want a more Support oriented build you can try this..

    I'm assuming that the Passive with high Int, to make the cool downs really short is key here?

  • Ugh, really hard to try get a solid build for an Psioinc Priest, that aims on Debuffs and Healing, without killing my DPS. So gonna keep trying to get the solid one.

    I've removed Telekinetic Strike as I find the combo/with Telekinetic Barrage quite difficult to use, so I've made my starter powers the following: Darts/Strike/Shards. This combo for myself is doing quite well.

    Mind Control & Psychic Vortex are the next powers in-line that I'm after, so them powers will need to stay, as for SN, I may try to fit that in, to be an distraction/support to help me along my battles.

    I've picked both Mental Leech & Shadow of Doubt as I do not kown whats more powerful, then the pair, I won't have both, just need one that is more powerful in terms of AoE/Debuffing. (So let me kown).

    I'll try to find an good AO/AD, as well, but I think I got that covered with Mental Precision & Conviction, but there chuold be better. I do kown that Depnendecy heals my teammates, but I'm unsure if Inner Peace effects teammates as well, otherwise, I won't take it other then just a self-heal or I might take the refresh of stress (what ever that is).


    I've tried to combine both Superalfgorns build & Flows, to make an Support but still good with damage.

    Ur single-target dps really won't be good until you start using something like TK Lance or TKA in ur build. That's kinda the reality you have to deal w/using ranged Mentalist atm. Otherwise, you'd have to go out-of-set to something like Sorc or Darkness for better dps.

    Though ur AoE dps can still be fine. I suppose if you don't mind having low single-target dps you could just use TK Barrage everywhere, and throw in Mental Storm and TK Shards to help:

    TK Barrage's stun can help proc stuff and function as CC. Uses Mental Storm and TK Shards for Stress, and Mental Leech for some extra healing. Plays mostly as an AoE dps unit, though it can also off-heal and support allies. Gears mostly for Int, w/ some Con and Pres.
