Need Help On A Build Please.

I'm back after taking quite along break from Champs and I'm looking to do a new 2 gun Cowboy build Using Bullet Hail as my Aoe. Was thinking something along the line of The Saint Of Killers I've been really into season 2 of Preacher, was thinking maybe regen or invulnerability as the passive? Any help would be COOL!! Oh whats kill shot like as a power I did notice its melee, also is it viable to add those powers like pistol whip or rifle butt to a build that's manly ranged?

    Execution Shot isn't very practical as a melee attack, but if you want to use it for flair then you could maybe rope in a low-health enemy w/ Trip Wire and follow-up w/ it. Outside of that, its a pretty standard ranged Muni build. Gears mostly for Ego, w/ some Con and Rec.

    I had one more build thought A might brick with some earth powers thats a grower using the giant growth advantage on the might power and the gadget power that lets you go big to. you know grow big like ant-mans big form or GIGANTA, COLOSSAL BOY, ATLAS, GOLIATH. I know there was devices that make you shrink or grow and as to the best of my memory they dont work in combat right?

    Lash is the main filler attack and the Wisp puts up some nice debuffs. Vicious Cyclone is for AoE and some CC. Vile Lariat can heal you, knock, and put up a good debuff in Fester (if charged). Crip Coils can CC, grant a small heal, and disable flying enemies. Life Essence can be ur filler self-heal that can also heal nearby allies. Your dps won't be too strong here, but general extra utility (CC, extra heals, debuffs) is decent and can help make up for that. Gears mostly for Ego, w/ some Con and Rec/End.

    So I'm going thru all my alt characters and I've got a few in the 20-30 level range sitting in the power house with no powers but I'm keeping them cause I like there costumes. So this brings me to trying a theme build melee ranged build using single sword and archery and maybe some summoned pet? like a Ranger from D&D if anyone has played it.

    Something like this?

    STR+guardicator loop for Offense/Defense, Enrage as a form, Arc of Ruin for Debuff and Annihilate as nice single target dps.

    The last two powers are just for show, they can be anything really....

    I normally wouldn't pick Defiance for a non-tank (at least, for group content), but I suppose Cleave's Defensive Stance special adv can keep Defiance stacks rolling if ur not getting hit for long periods cause someone else is tanking. I'd also change Initiative for Focused Strikes if using Annihilate.

    Yes, this might actually be one of the few builds where you want to rank up defiance. But nonetheless Defiance is not great if you are not tanking....

    my above post didnt go properly so here it is again.
    My main problem is i have a character that I love his costume. I keep going back to him every once in awhile, he's one of my 1st ones i did were i wasn't copying someone I saw in game or from a comic book (at least I don't think I did), but I've had a hard time pinning down what i want his powers to be, I've tried single sword, single sword archery, infernal claws, and might I still haven't found what I want his powers to be his background is hes the mortal Avatar for an Arch Fey a being from the feywild courts of Titania, the Summer Queen and her consort Oberon, the Green Lord, Hyrsam the Grey broke the rules when he convinced a mortal to allow him to occupy his body.     Maybe a mix of Archery and Bestial? Or does he have a bit of a shadiness too him that justifies some corruption (ie. Darkness or Infernal)? I dunno man, I'm not usually here to help people finalize the theme surrounding a toon.

    Or maybe go even more basic: do you want him being ranged or melee? Any primary role in mind?

    that's the thing i cant think of what i wanna do for his powers that ok tho pulled up another of my guys just siting there hes a robot monkey i currently have him going PA with the dual wrist rockets and micro munitions but i have 3 different pa guys already was thinking a might dps build using powers like shockwave or havok stomp powers that looks like the person is throwing a tantrum

    Targeting Comp will add a bit more more dps than Quarry + Int for any Ranged Tech build.

    Onslaught isn't that great, but it seemed thematic and can still fill the role of a filler attack (Beatdown could be good.. if it innately proced Enrage). Demolish is ur heavy-hitter and is for debuffing (could be Haymaker instead, of ur not tired of it). I decided to get Fissure over Havoc Stomp since you already have SWave for AoE. Gears mostly for Str, w/ some Con and Int (for MSA) and/or Rec (for Unstoppable energy). Can also get Giant Growth on Enrage, if you want the aesthetic.

    ok I've got 5 more builds and that should be it cause that's the last of my 20th-30ish level guys I had sitting there. 1. a darkness power set guy with what ever powers and role, 2. Martial Arts combo of kicks and punches maybe a dodge tank ive never done one before, 3. Gadgets and pets none of the animal ones just ones that look tech like, 4. ice powers in what ever role, 5. sorcery or celestial support role, I've done really next to nothing in those 2 power sets

    i was relooking at superalfgorn HW build he posted and it made me change my mind for the character concept I had now I'm thinking HW with the powers that do extra fire damage like brimstone, earth splitter, eruption, vicious decent. Not necessarily those exact ones, running unstoppable.

    Well, HW's best ST dps comes form a Crushing-only attack (Annihilate), but Skullcrusher can be a decent alternative, so it prob wouldn't be much diff than a normal HW dps build that I'd suggest:

    You can replace Arc or Ruin w/ Brimstone w/ adv, though that does mean losing Arc's No Quarter debuff. Earthsplitter isn't strictly needed to a HW build but it can provide extra some utility/offense from range. Gears mostly for Str, w/ some Con and End/Rec.

    Nah, you have Eruption w/ adv to quickly put up CF (and Arc's adv can easily refresh it). No need to take Cleave just for that.

    FClaws is pretty much the same its always been: heavy single-target dmg, but limited AoE options. I usually just use Shuriken Storm, EotS, or Sword Cyclone as AoE for FC builds. Though you could rely on VFang's cone-based AoE, melee cone AoEs have more limited reach.

    I'm nearing 40th with my MA dodge tank and i going to stop wearing my leveling heirloom gear I know you said gear mostly Con and some Dex, but what cores should i use standard gamblers or use parkour for its dodge and knock back, to, up, or use the soviets guardian's resolution for crit and crit severity? and I've noticed there's several utility cores that increase damage to certain powers like lasersword, munitions, HW, Might, Fire and so on but ive not seen one for MA is there one?

    I don't think there's an MA-specific dmg core yet.

    Modding kinda depends on ur priorities. For dps and threat gen, its hard to go wrong w/ crit and/or severity. Bonus heal mods can boost survival a bit when combined w/ self-heals. Dodge rating is also good for dodge-based tanks (if using R3 LR, then forgo avoidance rating since the passive puts you heavy into its DR), but general maxHP boosts can also be good. CD reduction is nice for utility, assuming ur not having many energy issues and are using cd-based heals and/or ADs.

    Mini Drive is on a cd that's prob gonna be longer than the uptime, and the dmg bonus is subject to DR (so its not great if ur a geared dps), but the size increase is fun I guess.

    If you wanted a short cd so Mini Drive's uptime is close to 100%, you'd prob need something like Int SS, Int gearing, cd reduction, AoAC and/or Rec PSS 2nd Wind (or Int PSS's Revitalize). None of these are at all ideal for Bestial dps, though, so I prob wouldn't worry about it and accept partial uptime on the cd.

    most of the builds i ask for are to compare them to my many different heroes i've not played in i think 2 years was the length of this time off i did, speaking of which i was looking at one of my old heroes and U'd like him back using force powerset i dont know if i want dps or tank role tho.

    Well, if taking a dps route I'd prob use either Hybrid + AoPM, Quarry + Int SS, or Unstoppable + Rec SS for Force. For a tank, I'd take Defiance- or PFF if you want to ignore Con SS and get another energy SS.

    Power Source w/ Ionic Reverb and Elec Current's 3-pt adv is a newer option, since the last one fills up ur energy like an end builder, but then ur relying on Elec stuff to keep energy flowing.

    how good is a grenade build going to be I thought I saw someone else start a post about it but couldn't find said post? was thinking maybe using mini mines to and break away or parting shot use the 2 if i get in melee drop mines and jump back maybe implosion engine also to pull the group together then throw in some grenades I have no idea what role would be best for said build.

    The basic issue w/ grenades or mines is that none of them are spammable, though you can fill up on a buncha cds and use a Crushing dmg filler attack like Tac Missiles (since it will be boosted by Crushing debuffs).

    That's a formal tank build.

    Main AoE is just using Shuriken Storm. For bosses or tougher targets you use TKicks to put up its dodge buff every ~12 sec or so, and use charged Dragon Uppercut as ur main single-target dps/threat tool. Imbue is an AO, so you pop it when you want a bit more dps and threat gen, and/or to help break from a hold. Resurgence and Masterful Dodge are ADs, you use them defensively to counteract spike dmg (Resurgence is just a big heal used to recover from low health; MD guarantees you'll dodge each inc hit for the duration, so its better for when you anticipate high dmg inc). Can keep BCR running in the background for the extra healing regardless.
