Improving Champions Online, not neglecting.

I have made a forum post in a few other places as well regarding this issue, and this post is centered more on the lack of attention this game is currently, and has been, receiving. It is quite known that despite PWE's slogan, "We deliver the best worldwide gaming experiences.", the fact they only have five or so developers fixing and improving on the game is a pure nasty spit on what they stand for. I will outline some of the huge issues that this game has, and would suggest that PWE fixes these issues if they want this game to meaningfully go anywhere.. and I welcome others to make posts as well for their own suggestions in improving on the game.

1. Allocate more Devs to Champions Online - First and number one on this list, this game is in dire need of resources to fix and improve upon the current engine.. and having a very minimal bare-bones dev staff is not the way to show your love to the players nor the game itself, and it is completely unfair on the developers who work on CO as well. This game has had so much potential welling up in it, yet it has been squandered for only god knows what reason.. I would place my bet on money. I feel like this game could of been quite huge if they focused their time and effort on it, given the current lack of superhero MMOs and the features the game offers.

2. Bugs and Server Issues - It is no secret that this game has bug and server issues, bug issues is one thing, server issues are another.. but having both cam be down right frustrating. There are bugs in the game that have existed since beta, and while some people have stated these bugs had been fixed at one time or another.. the matter of the fact is that these fixes sometimes never stick. That sounds to me like an issue that should have been fixed long ago, but of course.. the lack of devs hinders that to a huge extent. Some of these bugs and glitches are even game breaking, such as mission mobs that cannot be damaged or even cosmic creatures that teleport or just plain vanish mid-fight. This is also not mentioning the crashes that quite a few players have almost every single day due to a prominent VRAM memory leak that I am certain quite a few people know about already. The fact that this hasn't been addressed and fixed is just boggling. The servers are also in need of improvements and upgrades. Stability issues have been felt for a long time now and I wouldn't be surprised if the game ran on very old servers that can barely hold the game up and running for a straight week.

3. 64-Bit Client - As games grow and improve, so does the client. Several games have been moving to 64-bit client since many PCs are improving year after year, moving beyond the 4gb limit. I have seen systems with up to 64gb of ram and that is just an insane amount of ram to possess on a machine.. so it goes without saying that 64-bit clients should be the new standard when it comes to games, as this will open up a lot more stability and functionality... and also, prevent crashes due to 'not enough RAM'. The funny thing about the memory leak above and the fact CO holds onto pre-loaded information on the RAM, you can hit that 4gb limit quite easily and in a short amount of time. This makes 32-bit clients more vulnerable to memory leak crashes and issues that involve not having enough RAM.

4. Zen Store Price Gouging - This has been an issue for a while, apparently, but prices on the Zen store have gotten completely out of hand. Not only have things gotten unreasonably overpriced, but with the lacking devs and high prices on the store, it feels as if PWE has turned Champions Online into a pure cash cow. This is not very good for their slogan at all, and such a practice looks poorly onto the company itself. I understand completely that the company needs to make money and the Zen store has it's own purpose, but there is no reason to price everything so high when people are actually willing to pay money to support the game.. this actually HURTS their profits and I would be keen on saying it is a ploy to 'lower' money support and give them a reason to shut the game down.

I may add more issues later as I think of them, but this is a rather lengthy overview of the issues we have today.. and I have added my own suggestions to help improve the game, but it is ultimately up to the company to improve and fix this game, and give their slogan an actual meaning.

    1. Do you have the money to afford the devs? Last I checked, devs do not work for free, they expect to be paid for their work, and investors aren't going to throw more money at a project than it brings in. It's a nice dream, but game development isn't a charity, and Champions has the number of devs it has due to how much it brings in.

    2. They've been addressing the bugs when they can. There is no magic fix bug now, and attempting to fix one bug can cause other problems for interconnected systems. And regardless of feels, they also need to make content. Lovely pipe dream, again, but the whole "spend a year fixing bugs" doesn't exactly work out as planned, and again they are constantly fixing bugs with updates and patches, so this one is just kind of moot.

    3. This would require massive development resources an engine upgrade and so forth, just something that is not in Champions budget. Again, unless you got a lot of spare cash to burn and give the game, this is just not going to happen.

    4. Uhh, actually most of the items in the zen store are under priced. I don't know where you get overpriced. I can tell you already costumes are made at a net loss, thanks to the fact they unlock account wide, and the simple fact many items just aren't big ticket items, unlike what people may believe. The common fallacy is that after X amount they should only be Y price is silly. That's like going to your favorite restaurant and telling them that just because they already sold X burgers you should get your burger cheaper. It's far from price gouging, at this point. All the items take development resources and time to put together and without a steady income, well, you don't have a game.

Is there a bug with the forums that if you edit and save a post multiple times that it just eats your post? I've already made two response posts already and for some reason they keep disappearing when I make edits for spelling and grammar.
