Thanks Flow, but I decided against a pet build after a couple of scrape and bruise.

Yes, the broad advice for people thinking about pet builds is "don't".

I've tried a healing/Pet build, so I could carry an arcane army with me, letting them do basically all the work while I just kept them alive, and swarm mobs with numbers like they love to do, I got to level...14 I think, before scrapping it because it was kind of impractical and a REAL pain to do any kind of early leveling alone. Mind you, this is after maybe 7 wipes against Frank Zaretti and finally completing that mission. So yeah, some things just DON'T work as well as you hope.

Yeah having a large pet array when low level means you'll likely have too many energy penalties stacking up, and w/ low level stats that can be crippling to overall performance.

how can you even have a large pet array at low level. As far as I can tell level 14 is where you could get like a second summon at earliest

Going early and heavy on Sorcery makes it possible, though you'll have to retrain at the first PH to get the Familiar early. Ex:

    Powers
    Level 1: Eldritch Bolts
    Level 1: Tyrannon's Familiar
    Level 6: Sigils of Destruction
Level 8: Ritual of Radiant Summoning
Level 11: Ritual of Primal Summoning
Level 14: Ritual of Ebon Summoning
    Level 17:
    Level 20:
    Level 23:
    Level 26:
    Level 29:
    Level 32:
    Level 35:
    Level 38:
    Adv. Points: 0/36

    etc..

Again, this not a recommended approach, though.
