What is the Arc Client?
Install Arc

Champions Installer Download

I'm looking for the Champions Online direct installer? Since my desktop isn't working right now I want to install Champions on my Linux laptop through Wine and putz around in the game while I'm getting my desktop up and running again. Be nice if there were native binaries for these games for Linux. I've loaded a ton of games on Steam already on this system.

Twenty plus views and no response? I guess there isn't a lone installer I can use for Champions. I certainly don't see one on the site and the links to the old installer don't work anymore. On the flip side I decided to try Albion while waiting. It's not perfect but they do have more direct links to installer downloads and a native Linux client. :astonished:

Still I wouldn't mind getting Champions up and running still with Wine.

If you've installed CO via Steam or Arc, you can pull out the standalone launcher from the installation. I can't remember if there was a direct download for CO available anymore since PWE had it integrated. Doesn't mean we can't get around all these silly launchers that launch other launchers.

If you made sure to use a custom location for installation, you can just head there and find CO. The direct launcher for CO should just be there in the first CO folder.

If you've installed via Steam and used their default install location, you'll have to do just a little more digging to find CO. Typically the path is "C://Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Champions Online/". Oddly enough though, if you play other Cryptic games, the Champions Online folder would instead become Cryptic Studios, and that's where the launcher would be along with the other Cryptic game(s) you've installed.

I can't really help with Arc locations since I don't really use it, though it should be a bit more straightforward than Steam if you know where you've installed Arc.

    Hope that helps!

They've basically told me you can't get direct installers anymore, you have to go through a client of some kind.

I use Linux and WINE I found the easiest way is to use the retail disc. Which can be acquired for a few bucks from places like Amazon.
