Telekinetic Assault and pepper

nornsavantnornsavant Posts: 93 Arc User
Aaaaaattchooo!!...

So I was reading the forums trying to learn from better builders, as one does, and I happened to overhear someone saying that for cosmics, Telekinetic Assault would do plenty of damage. Which got me to thinking. A single power that will dish out enough to be useful, maybe I could put together something around that.

And so I did...

Telefrenetic - Freeform

Super Stats
Level 6: Ego (Primary)
Level 10: Constitution (Secondary)
Level 15: Endurance (Secondary)

Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3)
Vindicator: Mass Destruction (2/3)
Mastery: Ego Mastery (1/1)

Pretty Garbage for AoE but single target you can just buff up and lean on TK Assault until the boss cries uncle.

CoPD is there because I am trying not to use Invulnerability in this build like I do in ALL my builds. This time I am going for a slotted passive that boosts my main attack form but I still need some way to turn at least a little damage. CoPD helps out without wrecking my deeps. Or at least that's the plan.

Not sure about Lock-n-Load. It says it boosts all damage. Anyone got some other thoughts about AOs?

I have Telepathic Reverb. It seems to be doing what it is supposed to be doing, but the description paints a picture of pretty sparse energy returns. Is there a better way to get energy back? How great would it be to hold position 98 feet away and rain in TK Assault without energy concerns? I could use Circle of Arcane Power but I am not sure it wouldn't give me energy form problems.

But enough about me, what do you think? What are your thoughts about a durable TK Assault machine? Is that even worth being a thing? How would you do it?

Mine as well just go for a standard ranged TK build:

    (Unnamed Build) - Freeform

    Super Stats
    Level 6: Ego (Primary)
    Level 10: Dexterity (Secondary)
    Level 15: Constitution (Secondary)

    Talents
    Level 1: The Void (Con: 10, End: 10, Dex: 8, Ego: 10)
    Level 6: Ascetic (Con: 5, Ego: 5)
    Level 9: Acrobat (Dex: 5, Con: 5)
    Level 12: Shooter (Dex: 5, Ego: 5)
Level 15: Quick Recovery (Con: 5, Rec: 5)
    Level 18: Wordly (Ego: 5, Rec: 5)
    Level 21: Impresario (Dex: 5, Rec: 5)

    Powers
    Level 1: Kinetic Darts
Level 1: Telekinetic Assault (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 6: Ego Form (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 8: Ego Reverberation
    Level 11: Chilled Form
Level 14: Telekinetic Burst (Rank 2, Sudden Impact)
    Level 17: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 20: Telekinetic Lance (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 23: Mental Storm
    Level 26: Resurgence (Rank 2)
Level 29: Ego Surge (Nimble Mind)
Level 32: Telekinetic Shield (Rank 2, Telekinetic Reinforcement)
    Level 35:
    Level 38:
    Adv. Points: 27/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6:
    Level 35:

    Specializations
    Ego: Force of Will (2/2)
    Ego: Insight (3/3)
    Ego: Follow Through (3/3)
    Ego: Sixth Sense (2/3)
    Guardian: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Guardian: Ruthless (2/2)
    Guardian: Find the Mark (2/3)
    Guardian: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (2/3)
    Mastery: Ego Mastery (1/1)

Getting a decent amount of Ego should address most/all energy concerns. Last 2 power slots can be w/e ya want.

Thanks Flow, I appreciate the advice. Question: Does the order of the secondary super stats matter?

    A few slight tweaks.

    - rank 2 Ego surge, instead of rank 1...because it'll make Nimble Mind last longer.
    - rank 3 TK block instead of the adv, as the adv provides resistance in the regular resist layer...whereas r3 buffs the block layer
    - rank 3 Mental Storm, the tap DPS here is very very significant

Order of superstats does not matter. As long as your primary is still ego.

MStorm's tick dmg was heavily nerfed, and its still cd-based. I mean, rank it up if you want and have the spare adv points, but I wouldn't make it high priority compared to ranking up the non-cd attacks or important heals/defenses.
