My future Freeform

May not be able to use it for months even but once I was linked to the online builder I could finally look into the powers and setup my own.
This will change the gobbledygook into my build. Constructive critism is welcomed and I know it is a completely odd build by normal standards.
I never claimed to be normal, =3 I'm the wierd furry.

Did an AI hack your account? Or is this a new language we're formulating?

    How's this?

  • flowcytoflowcyto Posts: 12,852 Arc User

Well, I guess a screencap works.. You can more easily just go to the Export section, hit quick select, and copy & paste the text there, or copy & paste the url next to the 'Link' section under 'Name'.

Anyways, ur build has 6 slotted passives (when you can only slot one at a time).. that's a bit much :p You also don't have a toggle/form, or an energy unlock. Also, pet builds generally aren't welcome in the high-end content of this game atm.

What role are you going for here? Pure dps, hybrid dps, support/healer, tank, hybrid support, etc? Also, what powerset(s) attacks do you want the most? Infernal? Bestial? etc. We'll prob have to rebuild this from the ground up.

You definatly DO NOT need 5 different support auras for pet builds

I recommend using Aura of Ebon Destruction because it's the best for pet builds and will boost not only your pets' damage but also your allies

also be aware that pet masters have a lot of issues due to pets' AI and pets are worthless in endgame

    - Click the Export button
    - Choose HTML
    - Then Click Quick Select
    - Copy the text "CTRL + C"
    - Then paste it into your comment "CTRL + V"

Hm, it seems you are still not being too clear w/ us w/ regards to the role and theme/powersets ya want. Do you want to supply more dps, more support/healing, more protection, a mix of those, etc? Cause that will help decide what aura passive you may want. The theme of the build also seems to be everywhere now- making it tougher to decide what you want to do w/ the build.

The most recent build is confusing to say the least. For one Mechanical Monstrosity can't be your energy builder. The rest of the build is just a random hodge-podge of powers. I assumed from the original post the OP was looking to build an animal-oriented build with bestial powers. Now, I'm not sure what the intention is.

I'm after pets and/or summons. I thought it was clear. If the animals were high quality pets and not "fire and forget" I would build around them. But it looks like it's just quantity and not quality. Unless... is there a limit to the # of active pets one can have?

Edit: The name of this build I am trying to make. Army of One.

This should be the max pets that you can summon. No personal attacks outside the energy builder. Please remember, Mechanical Monstrosity cannot be chosen until after you achieve level 35. After that you can place it anywhere you like the build because it's an ultimate. Also, its a power that must be purchased. You can usually find the unlock in the Auction House.

Also with this many pets you are going to need energy. That's why you have Intelligence and Circle of Arcane Power.

could you explain the rituals? When I looked for them there was no telling what they call and can't you only have one active at a time?
  • flowcytoflowcyto Posts: 12,852 Arc User
The rituals only have those restrictions if you don't take the unbound ritual adv, which he has here. I'd prob add Venom Breath back in just so you have an attack of ur own (it can AoE and stun anyways), and a self-heal at least. The build also could use a toggle/form:

It looks ok.. but why Illumination? It's doing absolutely nothing for you in this build. You're better off with an attack of some sort. I mean it does a small heal and boosts healing received, but not enough to take it by itself without a heal of your own to back it up. Flow's build is about as good as you're going to get for an extreme pet master. Dumping your attack and heal is unnecessarily gimping yourself.

I'm not trying to be mean. But all of those pets are going to generate a lot of aggro. Which means enemies are going to ignore the pets and come straight for you! So you need a way to defend yourself and heal yourself. And since you're not taking a block, at the very least you need a way to heal up.

    Personally I'd take...

    - A good AoE attack (like Venomous Breath)
    - A block (To mitigate some damage)
    - A Self heal (Conviction or Bountiful Chi Resurgence)

Healing pets are unreliable and will sometimes fly past you to heal a pet or another player. So a reliable heal to keep you going is a very good idea.

Yeah, I skipped an ally heal because, for pet builds w/ Rapid Response, its prob better to just re-summon dead pets than try to heal them up manually. You'll want something like Conviction to help keep you alive, though. My build has 8 pet powers total (2 temporary)- that's way more than enough imo.

Didn't know Illumination was a minor heal, since it was AoE I thought it was that one heal I keep seing tossing up barriers around people while they were fighting.

Didn't know Illumination was a minor heal, since it was AoE I thought it was that one heal I keep seing tossing up barriers around people while they were fighting.

I believe that's Redirected Force. It has an extremely high energy cost to maintain.. so you'd need lots of recovery and some end to run it. Plus it's not really as effective as it looks. I mean it helps, but I wouldn't rely on it by itself to keep a team of pets alive.

I would say give Flow's build a try on the test server and see if it's works for your playstyle. Good luck!!!

Side note: Army of One is name people use for pet build heroes in game. You can still choose that name, but don't be surprised if you someone else with that name.

Also, are you aware that pet builds are very difficult to use in end game content, as well as vs. event bosses?

I don't focus on best end game build. I focus on builds I personally enjoy. The heal I chose is single target channel, so if the main heal goes down I can temp heal until he's back up.
