Is it HP Lovecraft?...

While running the "Braving the Elements" mission of the Vibora Bay apocalypse, i came across this portrait inside Valerian Scarlet's brownstone...

Maybe it's just me imagining things, but that guy strangely looks like American metaphysical horror author HP Lovecraft in his youth...

What do you think?

    I knew this potrait looked familiar
    for me it kept reminding me of Eternal Darkness (a GameCube game heavily inspired by Lovecraft's Mythos)

    The way the Qliphoth and its denizens were conceived of for the Champions PnP game was explicitly very much influenced by Lovecraft and his imitators like August Derleth (despite how they're often depicted in Champions Online). So it would be entirely appropriate for a portrait of H.P. to be an "easter egg" in the game.

    Yeah, i figured as much upon running Demonflame and Aftershock for the first time. I just didn't know about the potential easter egg ^^
