Question regarding the Psionic Dragon / Holoforce parts.

I swear I remember reading somewhere that you can make them only show up in combat by colouring them black or something. Any truth to that? Do you need a specific Aura/Ability to do it?

If you use the completely black color and set the texture to holo or psionic (glass too, I think?), then they will be invisible. Then you use an aura that applies a visual texture effect on the character's body (for example, the Legacy Ego Form aura) and the parts will glow with the aura. This won't work with auras that don't apply some kind of texture to the character model, as far as I know.

I'm using Telekinetic Shield with the advantage that lets it stick around. Would that work?

There are a few thing outside of the Psionic Dragon and Holoforce sets that work for this too. The drops from Mind Inc. guys work, as do glass slippers (they have holohex/psiholo options), and some parts of the power armor and steel wolf sets.

Unfortunately, the glass material, gadroon pieces, and those cyberpunk pieces from the Q store don't work for this.
