I've heard some people express the opinion that Japan has the market cornered on gloriously insane music videos. We can't let ourselves be beaten so easily. I'm trying to turn up western music videos that maybe, just maybe, could help dispel this rumor that we're sane.

I have to admit when I saw Weird West I thought this thread was talking about the Deadlands RPG... color me disappointed.

The exact division of “The West” and “The East” have varied over time, and currently vary somewhat based on the origins of the person using the term. Anyway, yes, Scandinavia is firmly part of the west. Russia is sometime considered to be part of the east, but is more commonly considered part of the west.
As for what makes up the east, it's Asia, usually India, sometimes the middle east, and occasionally parts of Africa. Or something like that. It's supposed to be a cultural division, but lots of places aren't culturally homogeneous, and individual perceptions of the relative importance of different aspects of culture as they relate to this distinction vary. Lately, Islam versus Christianity is seen as a big part of drawing the line.
