Fix the Profanity Filter

I just discovered that the most common Chinese surname, with close to 93 million people in the PRC alone, is considered profanity (and therefore not allowed to be used as a name in game) by the game's profanity filter. That is absurd. Clearly, the game's profanity filter needs to be adjusted to reflect the real world, and not some bizarro alternate world in which family names are "profanity".

For that matter, if family names are considered profanity by the filter, how many other common words are blocked by it when they should not be?

Just use the Cantonese Romanization; Wong won't trip any profanity filters. The Mandarin Romanization is in fact profanity in American English.

Common names being profanity in different languages is really rather common... some names that you wouldn't think were profanity are censored in several games and have been forever. There is no reason to think CO would be any different. Just because CO is now owned by a chinese company doesnt mean a chinese name that is considered profanity in english would become uncensored. There are actual chinese games that censor the same name when translated. Some chinese individuals use the pronunciation wong when doing buisness in the states even when that is the incorrect pronunciation simple because that version has fsr fewer negative connotations.

Yeah, that's exactly what I ended up doing. Kind of reminds me of how the title of one of Miyazaki's most popular movies is listed as profanity in many filters, despite being a movie that's considered suitable for children.
