W/ Siphoning Strikes, pretty good at self-healing (though Siphoning healing is tied to dps w/ the combo, and w/ a tank that will be lower vs. a dps using it). Since Siphoning is 3 pts, though, if you wanted that and Challenge then ur basic combo is stuck at rank 1. Ofc, you could instead put Challenge on other things, like EBA, EBB, or Mental Storm, and weave those in for threat, and then get the combo to R2 to improve its dps and the self-healing a bit.

Here's an example of one, using Defiance energy to off-set using Mental Disc (which doesn't give energy, but also isn't tied to a specific stat):

    (Unnamed Build) - Freeform

    Super Stats
    Level 6: Strength (Primary)
    Level 10: Constitution (Secondary)
    Level 15: Ego (Secondary)

    Talents
    Level 1: The Mountain (Con: 10, End: 10, Str: 8, Ego: 10)
    Level 6: Ascetic (Con: 5, Ego: 5)
Level 9: Physical Conditioning (Str: 5, Con: 5)
Level 12: Professional Athlete (Str: 5, Ego: 5)
Level 15: Quick Recovery (Con: 5, Rec: 5)
    Level 18: Wordly (Ego: 5, Rec: 5)
    Level 21: Relentless (Str: 5, Rec: 5)

    Powers
    Level 1: Kinetic Darts
Level 1: Ego Weaponry (Rank 2, Siphoning Strikes)
    Level 6: Ego Reverberation
    Level 8: Defiance
Level 11: Mental Discipline (Rank 2, Rank 3, Id Blades)
Level 14: Ego Blade Dash (Challenge!)
    Level 17: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 20: Ego Blade Annihilation (Rank 2, Mental Acuity, Challenge!)
Level 23: Telekinetic Shield (Rank 2, Rank 3, Telekinetic Reinforcement)
Level 26: Telekinetic Eruption (Rank 2, Enhanced Form, Challenge!)
    Level 29: Masterful Dodge
Level 32: Ego Surge (Rank 2, Nimble Mind)
    Level 35: Mental Storm (Challenge!)
    Level 38: Rebirth
    Adv. Points: 34/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6:
    Level 35:

    Specializations
    Strength: Swole (2/3)
    Strength: Physical Peak (3/3)
    Strength: Brutality (2/2)
    Strength: Juggernaut (3/3)
    Warden: Fortified Gear (2/3)
    Warden: Slaughter (3/3)
    Warden: Ruthless (2/2)
    Warden: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (2/3)
    Mastery: Warden Mastery (1/1)

There's ofc other ways to go about it (mainly in the supporting backbone, since TK Blades doesn't have many attacks to pick from in of itself). Gears mostly for Con here (and it can get a ton of it w/o much dps loss, since Mental Disp doesn't scale w/ anything aside from rank), though it can also get some Ego for the EU and the blades.

alright. Curious would Defiance with having to ramp up is damage mitigation be weaker to say a dodge heavy build or is there a mechanic i am missing with it? I never really played with the Defiance buff in the past

Well, if ur holding threat, then building Defiance and keeping it at max stacks comes naturally and doesn't really take much attention. The build-up period, if it is a major issue, can be somewhat circumvented by popping an AD early on (and/or just keeping an eye out for heavy attacks early on to block, and maybe using an AO to give some extra threat/dps to make up for it).
